I've been playing for about a month, various lists, and I find myself in need of a more competitive list. Several of my usual opponents field pretty tough lists (I've played Chiraneau+Whisper, Fat Han several times, Dash, Brobots etc.) which roll over my casual lists.

Based on what I own (2 Most Wanted, a Starviper a HWK-290, a M3-A and a Firespray) I think a Price Xizor and friends is my best bet atm (don't have Predator and EU to run Kath with 4 pirates, and with both cards coming in Scum ships next wave, I'm reluctant to buy them now).

I've seen the standard competitive Xizor build is

Xizor with VI, Virago, Autothrsuters, FCS and Intertial Dampers

5x Binarye Pirate

Now, I only have 2 Most Wanted, so 4 pirates.

To fill up the list I'm thinking of buying a z-95 expansion and running 4 pirates and 1 Black Sun Soldier.

How much would running 4 PS1 and 1 PS3 Z-95 instead of 5 PS1 hurt the power of this list?

None really, except you are forgetting an important component of that build: Veteran Instincts on Xizor. Bumping him up to PS 9 can be a big deal, especially against some of the lists you mention you've faced regularly. Moving last vs. a fat turret w/ engine upgrade is huge.
