Can't play Omens without proving I own it every time!

By Fake Ghost Pirate, in Elder Sign

A storm knocked out our power for a week, but I still had a full battery on my tablet. So I figured I'd brighten an otherwise horrible day with a game of Elder Sign: Omens...

NOPE!

It insisted that I no longer owned the game, even though I bought it (and the expansions) a long time ago. It demanded that I connect to the appstore- how do I connect to the appstore when my entire town is without power or internet and so are the 3 towns surrounding it?!? (This was the worst storm I've ever seen) And WHY must I constantly prove that I still own the game? This happens nearly every time I try to play it offline!!!

And WHY won't FFG fix this problem? I'm hesitant to buy any FFG apps in the future because of this problem. If they cared, they would update it to fix this problem.

First time I read of such a problem. Do other apps give you the same problem? Or it's just ES: Omens?

In any case, I suggest:

a) post this in the Omens forum. This board is for the tabletop version; the other board has a sticky thread to highlight software bugs, and it's constantly monitored by FFG

b) drop a message to the customer service and see what they say. Possibly they could give you a code to download a new copy of the app, so you can remove the buggy one, and download for free something that is working

Thanks. I couldn't find the Omens forum, and when I searched for it it took me here. This is the only app on my tablet that does this.

If it's the only app giving you this problem, then the OS should be ok. You can consider mailing the guys directly at: [email protected] They are usually very quick at answering!
