Chewie build

By mtrein, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Hi, what do you think of the following build:

Chewie + Predator + Lando

Blue + Advanced Sensors

I haven't tried it yet, but I like it on paper.

Any thoughts on improvements, or weaknesses (and strengths), are very welcome. Or comments in general. Thanks!

Edit: Forgot to include the Squad builder link. Here it is!

I feel that dual falcons do ok and fat falcons with escort(s) are very powerful but middle of the road falcons with escorts is kind of weak. Chewie is great at soaking damage but without 3PO and MF title he can go down very quick. Yes you have Lando but he can desert you when you need him. If you go with 2 naked blues that gives you a 56 point Chewie that could look something like LW, MF, 3PO, R2D2, EU or however you want to configure him.

I don't particularly favor Lando. Using him can result in a lost action. The Chewie build I like looks like this:

Chewie: 52 points

-Title

-EI

-Lando

-Kyle Katarn

2xY-Wing: 48 points

-Ion Turrets

-Titles

-R2 Astromechs

This lets you take Lando with insurance. The downside, though, is you really have to pay attention to what will be happening movement wise a couple turns ahead so you don't get blocked.

Lando crew is fun to play, but I wouldn't take him into a tournament. He'll either save your butt or leave you high and dry.

9/64 chance of lost action.

25/64 chance of two actions.

An additional 15/64 chance for an Evade token, which you can't otherwise get.

Never tell me the odds!

No, no, that's Han's line.

This is the guy that gambled and lost the Millennium Falcon in the first place.

Though, to be fair, in Sabaac, cards change randomly, and after the Falcon bet, Han's cards changed to the equivalent of a Royal Flush, and before that he had been bluffing...

Like I told a guy last weekend. When Lando is hot he is the best Gambler in the Galaxy, when he is not He Loses the Falcon.

haha I know but It was begging for it!

Yeah I like Lando and is great on a B-wing for those evades. But as you say one turn he's blowing up the Death Star II and next he's turning you over to Vader.
