Also, of course...an article.

By VikramS, in UFS General Discussion

Yes, I couldn't resist. Check out my new article on UFS today, at my site - vikramas.blogspot.com/ . Apparently while I was trying to find a permanent site two years ago, I signed up for eBlogger and forgot. Now since UFS cards is done, and I don't see anyone writing strategy articles, this will be my home for future articles and such.

Also, I WILL take submissions, and unlike last time I am dead serious about this. I want good quality work, not too long in length but I won't give you any parameters. Anyone interested in random submissions may submit them to me via email at any time, and as long as they are appropriate and not absurdly long I will post them without editing for content (grammatical corrections will be made, that's about it). Anyone wishing to be a regular columnist, send me a proposal for your column - it will most likely be weekly or bi-monthly - and a writing sample, and we'll go from there.

So, enjoy! :-) And feedback is as always welcome and appreciated, negative or positive. Also, I particularly am curious about the state of the meta, so hit me up with your local stories, decks, ideas or whatever. Peace y'all. -Vik

Talk about a blast from the past.

In a good way, or a bad way? LOL.

I forgot to add, and I really have to get to class now, even though my email is on this site and my blog just in case it is [email protected]. I check my email multiple times a day, so feel free to write an article or any comments and I'll reply soon. Thanks.

Otay.

Good to see GOOD articles being written again. Nice to have you back sir, looking forward to seeing some articles after you have had time to get T2K'ed. Also if your looking for a control deck to test out mess around with Nina williams or Kazuya.

I'm so glad you and your articles have returned.

Kazuya, control?

I... guess. Had more success as aggro with a hint of control. A dash, if you will.

Sadly, Rasho-rash is the only really real control about. Kazuya...eh. All that effort to set their kill turn back a turn...considering that it's already T2 time again, is it even worth it?

King and Nina get in on it a bit, too, though, I s'pose.

But no real 'committing stuff' control. Sad face.

Nina can be a very good control character.

Read your article Vik, it was a nice read and a fairly congruent analysis of what characters look good, and where the game is going, etc.

I've never had the chance to meet you, having just started ufs 3 months before your leave of absence. I do, however, know of you and your Zi Mei deck, which our scout reviewed and built up on back in the block 3 days, and last October actually.

Looking forward to meeting you one day.

Aggro with a dash of control IS the new face of control. There is no trust B1 Void style control right now. Rashotep needs a LOT of pump to kill you and good attacks, algol usually has big turns on the back of his ultra rare, and nina kill you with pumped ice pick backed by wipe the floor.

Good analysis Vik, though i think you are putting Ivy a little too high. In a field of stand off, she become much weaker.

I find Kazuya's UR to work very good with Chaos. If opponent's not dead, wipe the field after you play a few foundations.

Well I suppose kazuya is a hybird character like vega used to be. Also I believe Nina is a really good control character, she just requires more thinking than control used to, pretty much her whole game is to keep your attacks completely out of play, which she does fairly well.

Proficient Sniper helps in that regard.

I wanted to build Dariya with some of Nina's stuff.

Holy cow. Vik's back. :) Nice to see you still alive and kicking, and with an article, even.
