If you use an evade token at medium range to reroll one of the attackers dice and the new result comes up as an accuracy, that accuracy result is basically the same as a blank since the opportunity to spend accuracy results has already past, right?

Yes,

Step 3 is Resolve Attack Effects where you spend Accuracy results

Step 4 is Spend Defense Tokens, and after that step you could no longer spend accuracy results.

This is good to know. It hasn't come up yet (In my games so far my opponent always manages to reroll hits into crits )
