Gozanti class and...

I don't think speed 3 matches Wookiepedia, given the ship is explicitly identified as slow...

I think we all agree it is too small to be on a capital ship base.

Honestly, I think the base YT-1300 in wave 2 is very similar to the role the Gonzati. (Shipment escort)

And given the pirate control aspect of the ship, we should likely include escort.

Perhaps a speed two (or even 1), escort, with counter 2, with only two blue Attack dice, one blue battey armament.

This represents the escort / anti-pirate role of the ship in shipping convoys. (Similar to the Flower class corvette / various DEs in WW2.)

The reason for speed 1 is the Imps have a ship that can increase squadron speed. A speed 3 ship with escort and counter 2 is definitely on the OP side.

For the rest I tend to agree with you :)

Better run it on a squadron base with a support mechanic for Tie Squadrons in range 1 or so.

So just like it could replenish a hit point of a Tie squadron if not engaged, simulating that it actually drops its attached Ties, that replace losses.

It also could have some special rules to 'transport' a Tie Fighter squadron ... or even activate one that could move and attack... there are possibilities...

I would worry about giving another squadron an extra action. Do you really want Mauler moving twice during the same round?

I think he meant activate it immediately instead of having to wait its turn, and/or with the possibility of doing a move+attack (in effect, giving it the Rogue keyword). Nothing to sneeze at, still, but probably not OP given that it's otherwise a useless ship.

...nonetheless, I'm not sure I agree with the depiction of a Gozanti as a fighter support craft. It could carry a few of them, but that's about it - it's still little more than an armed transport.

Yeah, when the gozanti activates, it gives a friendly squadron at range one "rouge", and activates it if not activated already.
