I think the 40k universe deserves a few happy endings so what if the marines win they will die eventually.

Well, I disagree. Grimdark is dark. I like it that way. Of course I don't speak for everyone.

If portraying it with an happy ending, should be a happy movie with few problems and concerns with missing milk to put in their tea but with a happy ending that they found it.

I presume nobody else read this and started picturing Black Templars checking their CRUSADE FRIDGE only to find there was no milk, so they CRUSADED to the local Co-Op, kicked down a wall (Even though the door was open), sliced a few civvies apart, gingerly picked up some milk, calmly paid for it, CRUSADED through another wall to leave, made their cup'o'tea and declared the CRUSADE over.

Now that's a movie idea I can get behind.

We should fund it. It'd be infinitely more popular than an Ultramarines movie.

BRILLIANT.

Now, how would one construct a fridge, for crusades?

Even though this is the same company that has made some "merely good" CG films for LEGO (and just for the record, I love LEGO), that means a couple of things:

  1. They see things through, and the odds of this actually happening - rather than the empty promise of the Bloodquest film - is pretty good
  2. While the Bionicle films were made for kids, they were actually well received by their target demographic (i.e. kids), so the chances are that these will be good for GW's target demographic (teenagers and young adults)
  3. If they are financially successful, GW will feel emboldened to do more films - which is a good thing

As for the Ultramarines being too bland - the story and script will be far more important than which chapter the Marines come from...
