Will the Cartel Maurauder replace the Rookie Pilot?

Yep. It was just a simple example, as best as I can tell, I have done more advanced math on the game than anyone else (including the developers), so I'm well aware of the subtleties. :)

I could crash the thread by actually calculating the expected damage for each suggested list but I'm overdue on analyzing Missiles and Torpedoes! :)

I actually use your jousting values for comparison purposes regularly. I don't pretend to understand the math but so far I have found your values to be generally consistent with game performance.

Exactly. Also debris fields.

Often times when playing a XXXX build I have to k turn them all, and having the whole dial to work with after the k turn would be huge.

MajorJuggler - out of curiosity, what would the jousting efficiency be at 19 points?

I feel that a 3-attack ship that hit 100% would actually risk being a little overwhelming. While Z-95s and TIEs may win on sheer efficiency, 2-attack has drawbacks you can also outplay in a meta sense much more easily.

Haha you guys are being a-holes about this. "This argument doesn't count because they are from different factions." Chill. You know what he meant. Until we see a fix for the X-wing the K fighter will replace the generics in a mono ship build of this style. The B-wings have already done that. While the B-wing is (marginally) better than the k-fighter a mono k-fighter is very viable in a competitive atmosphere.

But four Rookie X-wing builds aren't a thing and never have been, except maybe in Wave I.

Replacing something non-existent isn't replacement.

4 X was a thing until Wave 3.

The PS2s are 93.2% @ 20 points, so @ 19 points its the ratio of: 93.2% * 20/19 = 98.1%

That's very good but not game breaking. PS2 Z-95s are 104.2% (PS2 makes their PS1 equivalent cost slightly lower than 12), and PS1 Z-95s are 100.0%.

Hmm. It would've given them more 'leeway' when buffing the X-wing later, too.

As-is, they seem convinced it takes a 1pt difference, or they'll give it something worth more anyway - and in doing so, leave the Cartel Marauder in the dust.

It's a difficult balance, because never have we seen two such similar statlines... so the fate of one informs the other.

At least Cartel might get some nice synergy from their Illicts, perhaps. ;)
