Has anyone thought that just having LF sit on a ship might sometimes be the best use for it? Your opponent will keep playing as if you're about to use it, so you mess up their flying all game long.

This can be effective if they know how good it can be.

Similar to bombs. If the player actively plays to avoid your bomb, you can use this to your advantage.

Likewise with Lightning Reflexes, I think.

also, I just noticed talonbane's killing a scyk. prophetic?

I'd do wish they'd stop if with all the extra green dice abilities on the PS 6 and the defensive portion of the PS 9. ****'s not reliable <_<

No 1 straight. But yeah the dial is rather interesting.

Sort of like an X-wing but it trades a 3 hards for 1 hards and a 1 straight green for a 5 K Red. This will fly quite different from the X-wing.

As for the 1 time use K-turn/S-loop/D-loop(IG-88 D's S-loop) I don't know the the Kihraxz would be the best ship for it since it already has 2 K-turns. To be honest I think the best ship for that upgrade would be well ships that don't have K-turns like the HWK-290 or the Decimator. Although the decimator not so much since it has a turret primary weapon and plenty of other EPTs that match with it better. But definatly the HWK-290. Need to turn that thing around? no problem!

My bad, but yeah I think the HWK would defiantly use this. It could even be good on Vader since his pilot skill and ability is so good often most EPTs (like PTL) is not even used and the TIE advance only has a 4 K red. So giving this to vader allows him to really pull of some tricks.

I have a list (in the list forums) that i'll try to run some time in the next few days on Vassal. Turr Phennir LR AT title SD, Vader LR Title ATC and EU and Black tie with Wingman x2 3 point bid, or drop the ties for Yorr with palp

if i run with ties, have the two aces split each with one Tie wingman... well wingmanning..

The only tiny thing that I would of loved more for this. They should've had Salvaged Mech-critters set up just like how the E-Wings roll.

Yeah this came up when they announced Wave VII, it's the only reason I'd rather the 4H/1S of the Kihraxz to the 3H/2S of the X! Especially if Flechette Torps start showing up again, as might be the case when Extra Munitions arrive!

I highly doubt that

flechette and munis have the same cost

we should've been seeing more flechette now, given corran/soonts/aggressors, but I guess doing jack **** to PWTs is a cause for concern

I don't like it for Vader, just because it deprives him of the chance to use his pilot ability.

I love it as a second EPT for Tycho. His only limit previously was an inability to do K-turns. Now he gets K-turns and S-loops.

Luke, Wedge, Kyle, Palob and Talonbane Cobra also seem like they'd be good candidates for this card. Could also consider 4x Royal Guard TIEs with Autothrusters and Lightning Reflexes, but that probably won't be as effective as PTL.

I always thought it would be good to fly 5 X-Wings but cant due to the 21 point base. Something I thought was done to prevent such build. I am very much looking forward to trying 5 Kihraxz fighters.

One interesting possibility is Kavil (though not with blaster turret). If your move will put your opponent in your forward arc you can choose to face away from them instead now... More importantly this could set you up very well for future turns.

Sort of! I figure, Bombers and Punishers are likely to take Munitions to reduce costs on proper Bombs or Missiles, so a pair of Flechettes for only another two points? Done and done!

I like Lightning Reflexes w/ PTL on Tycho. Tycho can pull some even crazier maneuvers of course you sacrifice VI. But it lets you pull a K-turn with Tycho. You can do a 2 straight, pop LR then boost forward one. Essentially doing a stationary K-turn.

Though in his case, a 1 right turn and 180 followed by left boost might be more useful.

I'm the guy that would finish any RPG game full of potions (or equivalent). Please don't give me one-time use EPTs, I will never never understand how to use them.

Yes, but just like potions, what if there's a better moment in the future to use it??

Damage now being better than damage later, a good opportunity is a good time to use it, the earlier you execute an advantage the more it will affect the final endgame, butterfly-effect-like.

Though if you can be certain it's affecting how your opponent maneuvers, it can have a greater effect by just being equipped. Provided you can intuit or read how it's affect your opponent's maneuvering.

These kind of 1 shot cards add a very nice layer to the game.

How exactly do you rotate a ship 180 degrees? There are no guide nubs on the sides of the base.

Really dumb idea but could bodyguard somehow fit in somewhere for a Grax squad? Combo with glitterstim and it might not be that terrible(or it still is)

Also can somebody clarify, you do not get actions from Lightning reflexes right? What does the wording entail?

You don't get an action after LR. It says after the Check Pilot Stress step because if it occurred immediately after your maneuver and the original maneuver was Green, you'd be able to activate LR and fly away stress free. You still receive a stress before your Perform Action step, making the action illegal. But I do like the idea of it on Tycho.

Wow, no green straights! That would be weird. No ship in the game has that! You would have to bank just to clear stress, hm... I don't think I have an easy answer for that one! :P

I want a ship with a dial that's the inverse of the Defender. All the straights are red. Hard turns green. One weird, weird ship.

Call it the Tie Offender, I guess. :)
