When this is used while Jin's Form is in effect (+1-4 to all your checks), does it modify the resulting damage bump? If Jin's F is giving +2 to all checks, and I check a 5 for Hungry for Battle, does the attack get +1 damage, or no damage, as the check would be a 7?

Yes, the card is more or less completely useless with Jin. It doesn't say printed, so the number used is after Jin's bonus.

That is kinda what I thought. I was just still up in the air about the difference between "number" and "value" as it would apply. It had been argued that the 'number' checked was whatever was printed (a 5 in the example), but the 'value' checked was with the added effect (a 7). The value would be compared against the cost of the ability (ie 4+), but the number would be the one compared to the 6 in the effect.

Would like to hear an official bit on this, just to know that this is intended, but I am pretty sure you are right.
