Hi everyone,
Been looking at everyone else's work here and it's all so awesome - hoping some of you could give me some advice on where I'm going wrong!
I've had a few attempts at painting my TIE models now, and each time I'm left feeling unsatisfied with the results. I'll run you through my process;
1: Prime models with a Army Painter black spray
2: Airbrush some GW Administratum Grey. (I like the models at this point, they look really smart and crisp)
3: Brush on some GW Nuln Oil wash - It's at this point I regret doing it because I think the model looks dirty
4: paint the vent and weapons on the front (blue/green)
The result is below;
I'm not sure where to go to tidy this up at this point, do I just give the edges of the solar arrays a lick of the GW grey to tidy it up? Or is there some other artistic wizardry I'm unaware of that could help.
If anyone could recommend anything to protect the paint after as well that would be great, I don't want it chipping off after all this work!
Thanks for your help guys.
