UK National Epic size tournament

Looks like the Brits are not waiting for an Imperial or even Scum Epic ship to actually play epic. I need to get more epic level games happening at the local store.

It also looks like that's not an official FFG supported event. Those look like Cog O Two templates, Standard FFG clear sleeves, regular Nationals Crit tokens, a 28 point alt art card... Which screams Nationals Alt Art Luke to me... A non-standard trophy, which indicates they had a trophy place make it up instead of getting FFG to give them one.

The only thing that looks like it might be from FFG specifically for that, though I wouldn't surprised if they were made up by Cog O Two or another acrylic manufacture for this event.

Noted. But who cares? It's not like FFG have a monopoly on competitive events.

True, but I for one will be excited when FFG starts putting out organized play kits for Epic, complete with acrylic reinforce tokens and whatnot. They say they want to support this format, and the Raider is a step in the correct direction, but then they don't support it with OP, SC, Regionals, Nats, Worlds, heck, there really aren't any side events for it either.

So, if FFG WAS to put out an OP/Nats kit, that would go a long way (in my mind at least) towards FFG starting to truly support Epic mode as an alternative to 100pt dogfight.

I think so

Thank you all

FFG had at least two staffers present at the UK nationals. I saw Alex Davy (game designer) and Christian Petersen (CEO). So FFG at least knows about this event.

I don't know about tournaments, but I made a space station and some rules for it as I am sick of waiting for the Raider.

I've got someone painting it now, but we have done 2 games with it so far. Same scenario. Win for both sides.

Good news!

I hope they finally do it official with worlds and national tournaments
