You have the power to Smash. Cudgel's power is very straight forward. When you win an encounter as the main player, and you played an attack card, you may smash the puny ships of your opponent on a 1 for 1 basis with your ships. Cudgel's power lays in strength, so bring as many ships as your opponent has, especially if you are hanging on to a high power card. Do not be afraid to invite allies, if you win you get to smash the loser's ships.
