Hello everyone,
sorry if it's a repeated question, but I was wondering if it's possible to mix the content of both RPG lines, e.g. carriers, equipment, ships.
Thanks!

Yes. There is nothing conflicting there.
Yes all three game lines are designed to be played independantly or integrated.
Fantastic!

What about starting ship/base. The options are pretty varied between the two books. If you have a mixed party do you decide on one of the two sets or do you just let them pick whatever they want from the collective options?
The only major thing to consider is if you want to use Obligation, Duty, or both. In my EotE campaign I have a character branching out into an AoR specialization whose made connection within the Rebel Alliance. I run that campaign as straight Obligation as we started with only EotE and acquired the AoR CRB far later. Generally it works out fine to use Obligation or Duty depending on the flavor of your campaign (is ti mostly Rebels taking on the Empire or Han Solo types skirting the Outer Rim in search of their next job).
Just be careful of players mixing classes beween the books. If a player buys the same type of class then they can get access to too many versions of the same talent that can make them over powered.

Actually, that's incorrect.
It's been clarified by the designers that if you buy one instance of a specialization, say a Smuggler that started with Pilot, then they can't later purchase the Pilot specialization that's attached to Ace, because it's the same specialization, and the rules flat out say you can't purchase the same specialization twice. Same holds for a Spy that started with Slicer; the Slicer spec attached to the Technician career is still the same spec, so you can't buy it twice. The careers that a specialization is attached to only indicates an entry point for the specialization in regards to the cost to purchase; a Smuggler PC or an Ace PC can pick up Pilot as their starting specialization since Pilot is attached to both careers, but there's still only one Pilot specialization.
Also unranked Tallents are only purchased once, if they are come across later in a different specialisation then they are automatically ticked (this does not bypass the need to start at the top of a tree and work down, but that talents purchased elsewhere are "skipped")
Eg:
A Smuggler Charmer picks up Inspiring Rhetoric for 5xp. later in their life they take the out of career Diplomat Ambassador tree, when they have purchased their way down to the 15xp Inspiring Rhetoric they may immediately tick it off at no xp cost.
Of course I believe I.j was specifically talking about ranked Tallents and being able to get (with unlimited XP) a crazy high soak, WT, Strain or anything else. But the Devs know this, it's considered during development , and that is all tested in play testing.
