I know some people will miss certain things like the engine tech reference but I tried to keep it as much as possible in between but it's not eaay

Actually I am prior. Navy and we use the Armed Forces Network which is one reason I used the acronym AFN for Alliance Free News

As the rebel alliance, maybe you should have used the acronym for Rebel Alliance Quarterly - RAQ - (Radio Al-Qaeda)

But in terms of analogies, the Imperial Navy is much more comparable to the US Navy than the US Navy is comparable to the Rebellion fleet. Also, if you get into the heads of al-Qaeda, they think of themselves as being like the Rebel Alliance. You've also told me that you were in Navy Intel. I understand that you were involved in identification, but at higher levels intelligence is also about understanding your enemy, and understanding that from their perspective, they're the good guys, and that from their perspective, we're very much the Empire.
So, if you're going to choose to be offended over this, you're not going to be mentally agile enough to do the basics of strategy: know thyself and know thy enemy.

I chose AFN because it would remind me of my friends both here and gone and to me would be a tribute of sorts even if it is never brought up. The tribute is for me alone.
You can say I am not mentally agile but Navy intelligence has to learn many skills in all forms of intelligence gathering. I may have specialized in imagery but I did it all by the end.

Fair enough. You and I don't know eachother well enough for me to know these things about you, and for you to bring them to such a place as a Star Wars game and an internet forum is not a wise thing. As your friend, I'm available if you want to talk about these things, but I'm not trained as a therapist. I'm trained as an international analyst.
Also, you bill AFN as the foil for HNN, which is a tongue-in-cheek blog which turns the world upside down. If the emotions are too raw for you to engage in this, then maybe you shouldn't engage in this. Or, you should set AFN aside as something other than for us to banter with one another.
But let's drop the matter and have this thread be about the substance of your posting, rather than the symbolism.
