I've seen OP used in at least 3 different ways. OP as in original poster. Also in over priced, I think. Finally in reference to fat turrets. The last one has me stumped.
OP? what does it mean? Help for a newbie.
Over powered ![]()
Don't dorget op as In ffg organized play.
It's all about context
OP commented that the ship would not be banned and as the OP mentioned were not op but in fact op for what they were.
Edited by Bloodstripe BaronIt could also mean Original Poster.

Omicron (group) Pilot.
Generally it means that whatever the author is saying isn't important enough to warrant the time and effort needed to properly articulate it.
Forget all you think to know.
OP means Opossum

Thanks one and all! Especially for the poop and possum. I needed a chuckle this morning.
Very much a context thing. Most of the time when you see it I believe it will refer the Original Poster or to something that is OverPowered. I don't remember seeing it much as Over Priced especially when it is also used for overpowered as those would become VERY confusing they have opposite meanings in the same context!
Opossums are definitely OP, especially given that they are small base. they throw a lot of red dice at range 1. Oh, and they can still attack a target they are touching, even the generic ones.
Orange Potatoes.
Also "Organized Play"
To me, the most confusing part is how it can mean "original post" and "original poster." I feel like I can never abbreviate it because it won't be immediately clear which I mean.
As a general rule you can tell what it is being referring to by the word proceeding it:
is ----> over powered
the ----> original post(er)
ffg ----> organized play
The last one is probably the least consistent. There might also be a word such as very or completely between is and op. People that use OP to mean over priced probably feed off of chaos and confusion and should be smitten out of existence.
Organic Pickles.
Omnidirectional Phallus.
OP was little Ronnie Howard's character on The Andy Griffith Show.
Ophthalmology Practitioner.
"Okole Problems."
(for my fellow Kama'aina. If any.)
Original Prankster
Obese people
I think Obnoxious Poster is another option, perhaps to avoid confusion it could be abbreviated to ObnoP?
Origami pikachu
