I found Serenity rather disappointing. If Firefly hadn't been canceled it would have been the best Wheden show of them all.

Agreed on the show, though can't say I agree with your assessment of Serenity. While reviving the show was unlikely, I thought the movie encapsulated what we might have gotten from further seasons. A consolation prize of sorts

Will be getting at least 2 of each Punisher and K wing just for bomb load outs... maybe 3 punishes.. and aall my TIE bombers will have multiple options for their load out... I'll be a kid in a candy store... gotta talk to my friends going to gencon and see if they will stand in line for me.. haha..

I probably will too, but I hate to say this right now I don't see anything from wave 7 that would make bombers very effective. Having just taken them out for a spin taken 2 bombers as escort to RAC (first with 2x flechete torpedoes, then naked and dumping more points into RAC) I found that well they really have a hard time surviving. The 6 hull makes you think that they could survive twice as long as a TIE fighter but with no evade action and only 2 agility even when focus turtling they go down just as fast. The 2 green dice w/ focus is half as effective as 3 green dice w/ focus. As for extra munitions which for all torpedo and missile upgrades require target lock unless you are > pilot skill 9 Whisper and soontir will still weave in between your bombers and take them out. The stuff with wave 7 will help but I don't think it will be the boost to start seeing missile and torpedo secondary weapons in the top tier of the meta.

They can be hard to keep alive.. that why I run prox mines with them, I usually get them off and have been known to kill a squint or TIE with a single hit.. prox mi es keep the opponents nervous.. and I run kenkirk with a defense build.. jerjerrod and determination.. saved my bacon in a tourney once.. lol boy was that guy mad.. last turn of the game he rolls 3 crits and I flip 3 pilot crits.. toss toss toss.. then I proceed to kill his last ship.. was nice to see that build reallt help out that game.. only minorly the rest of the tourney.. a couple here and there..

Sometimes its fun to run hull upgrades on the bombers too.. lol that gets some people hot.. lol and 3 bombers with HU and a decimator.. bahahahahaha too much fun... 37 points to have to chew through.. lol between 4 ships... aint I a stinker.. lol

Oh and I'm not in them fornthe torps and missiles.. bombs are wherenits at.. proton bombs and prox mines.. the new bombs look fun.. those will have my group in fear of me.. haha

Did I mention.. I run bombers.. a lot.. lol

Given they are all a bit more expensive being bigger i'll just get 1 of each this wave and wait and see how i like each before thinking about getting more.

How many are everybody else ordering for wave 7? I have of most small ships enough to get a full squad for 100 pts. Probably order 2 yv666's and 4,maybe 5 khirax. Though not sure how many to get for the other 2, at least 2 but with upgrades I think even the cheaper k-wings and punishers get just over 33 pts so not sure if 3 of 4 make sense besides the occasional epic games.

I will get as many k-wings as i can take (minus a punisher for new tie thing). Sorry, but i like the k-wing.
