It's a nice clip anyways, sorry most of you won't understand the language.

So what they saying?
I heard
"@#$@#$@%%!%#%#!#$ Luke SkyWalker @!%!$#$!#!#^!%^$#^$%%".
They basically say that you don't need to know about Star Wars to enjoy the game. And that the hardest part is guessing your rival's moves.
Seems kind of spot on, in my opinion.

Mork mork mork.

This first part is definitely true, I'm 26 and only saw the Starwars Movies about 2 months ago, and started playing xwing 8 months ago... upon hearing that ive never watched the movies, my friend whom we got in to Xwing together made me sit down and Cram all the movies in at one sitting.

I agree with that judgement call.

Such a disrespect for other languages ...

And...? I'm curious how a modern geek who has never seen them reacted to these almost 40 year old movies that have dominated my entire life.

I wasn't aiming to be disrespectful, only trying to point out that as a non-native speaker of the language used, the only thing I did understand was "Luke Skywalker". Everything else went over my head (unfortunately the way I illustrated this issue it could be construed as a whole lot of swearing, which it was not)

Fair enough. My apologies.
[And for those interested, the Japanese would roughly translate to, "If you would only learn a foreign language."]
J'en avais etudier une autre lang. (however, spelling in that language is dubious at best).
As a Swede I could easily translate the clip for you guys. Sadly my tablet refuse to play the clip for some reason.

In what order? 'Cause there are only two acceptable answers: the original trilogy, or Machete order if you must include prequels.

Is "machete" 4, 2, 3, 5, 6? Because that's how I was told to watch them at one point.
Frankly, after deliberating it, if I were showing a totally new person the movies, I'd just go 1 thru 6. 1 does legitimately provide some useful background - not much, but a little - and has the best lightsaber duel in the saga.
Plus, if you watch 4 after the prequels, you catch on to all kinds of interesting dialogue that I never originally recognized, particularly between Kenobi and Luke.
Also, very cool clip, Sweden is my people. Sadly I only understand like 4 words.

Machete is 4, 5, 2, 3, 6. Ignores much of the stuff and nonsense in 1 (Jar Jar, midichlorians, characters that never appear again) without spoiling many of the surprises that will be revealed in 5.

Ah that's right, 4 and 5 before the flashback. I still think it's worth suffering through JarJar and baby Anakin for the final duel and Palpatine background... at least once. It's nothing I would willingly re-watch with someone else who has already seen it.
It said that STAR WARS X-WING is cool all over the world... so why do some of you hate on it right here on the front porch of the company who makes it?

So a quick summary - the clip is from our Regional Championship in Östersund (actualy the top 8 are playing at the far end, the ones that didn't qualify are running a 75-p alternative tournament) and she explains that there are guest from all over Sweden who have come to play X-Wing.
My friend Kristian is giving a quick summary of the koncept, and my goddaughter, age 12 (but has already played for over a year, this is her 4th tournament) Saga tells us just after her first victory that she likes it because she gets to meet new people and the hardest part is figuring out where the opponents ships are going.
Then Stefan tells us that there has been an big growt in boardgaming in our town thanks to a boardgame pub that we've started.
Finally Saga says that you don't have to know a lot of Star Wars to be good at X-Wing.
That's pretty much it.
I'm trying to get some more of the material to see if we can get to use that for a longer clip, the journalist really loved it must have filmed for hours. :-)
