I'd really like to NOT see pilots in other ships.
I've seen others say this as well. Care to explain why? Personally I think it would be a good thing. It adds more variety to the game without adding more ships with more rules and different feel, like how an X handles different than an A and a B and so on.
First and foremost, the Defenders need an Aces set.
Then, I'd like to see Wedge's Astromechs (R5-D2 "Mynock"/R5-G8 "Gate" and R2-A3) as they are long over due!

I agree, if only for the simple reason of keeping it simple. It's already confusing when someone's talking about Kyle Katarn. Who, the ship, or the crewmember? That confusion is sometimes avoided by context (in some contexts you're obviously talking about a pilot and not a crewmember, but not always). However, to put Corran in an X-Wing or Wedge in a TIE Interceptor would just frustrate me when anybody is talking about their list.

IMO, I think it would be great to get more pilots, there are still plenty of pilots we've not seen (why don't we have Crix Madine in an A-Wing yet?! I also agree with adding Ooryl Qrygg and Gavin Darklighter, and we do need named droids, Whistler (with an ability that synergizes with Corran perhaps), Mynock, and Gate.). Must have Y-Wings with EPTs, awesome TIE Bomber pilots that make it so we don't forget about TIE Bombers when the new TIE Junkisher comes out, I could even go for some more TIE Fighter pilots that bring swarms back to the table (Howlrunner-ish abilities that synergize with other existing named TIE pilots, perhaps. Would be interesting to see a viable 5-ship elite TIE swarm). And of course, would love to see E-Wings and Defenders get some lovin'--at present, their generics are jokes and you only see one of the two named pilots in lists.
Corran Horn in an X-wing.
For that matter -- Soontir Fel in an X-wing, and Wedge Antilles in a TIE Interceptor or TIE Defender.
Just release the Hawk Bats expansion all ready. New title for the CR90 the Night Caller. A Tie/In and a Tie with these Pilots.
Mainly I want Lieutenant Ketch. There should be x-wing tiles in there as well so the Wraiths can fly for Scum or the Rebels. Whatever the Mission calls for.

Love this idea in the abstract, and would love to see it as a custom campaign. Not sure it would balance as regular game pieces though.
I second a "Heavy" Aces pack with the Y-wing and Bomber. New pilots and a straight up reprinting of Major Rhymer and Horton Salm. Rhymer with a 3 point reduction in price and Salm with an EPT.
One can dream.
I want an aces dedicated to just the Lambda Shuttle just because no one else would want it. Give me Joda Kast.

You just say "I ran X-Corran and B-Chewie" or "Corran in an X and Chewie in a B". That doesn't seem unreasonable or even hard to say or communicate.

When defending, if you roll at least one (eye) result, you may immediately perform a barrel roll using the 1-bank maneuver template. If your ship ends in a position where this attack could not have been declared, the attack misses.

I'm hoping future Aces expansions will include pilots of ships not in the expansion, รก la Most Wanted. Any large base ship repaint expansion would be a tough sell, but a new Lambda pilot in a TIE Bomber/ Defender pack would be a welcome thing.

Either A, the pilots would have the same abilities, which is just boring re-hash stuff. Or B, they have different abilities, which I can't play at the same time as the original version, because they're the same person.
Don't get me wrong, not the end of the world or anything, just not the best way I think. Besides, it's not like they're out of pilots that they can put in the "wrong" ship.

For one, I don't trust FFGs ability to balance all the different unique pilots in different ships while simultaneously keeping them unique.

I demand an Assault Gunboat only, $60 Aces Pack. With 4 Assault Gunboats in different paint schemes, and versions of all Imperial pilots for this ship, even Vader and Chiraneau. And a $90 Epic pack with the Missile Boat and 8 more Assault Gunboats.

The gunboat would cover a hole in the Imperial Navy, and it was my favourite ship in Tie Fighter videogames

They're both pretty dire if you ask me. How about a couple of aces packs for existing ships, and then we just draw a line under X Wing and call it a day? At least until episode 7 hits and FFG decides if they're just going to tack the new ships onto the existing game or take the opportunity to create a new one.
I really don't want them scraping the turds off the bottom of the EU barrel just to keep feeding us wave after wave of new ships.
