Here are my takes on some fun Aces packs that will probably never be made.
Rebel Aces II (Rebel Assault or Heroes of Yavin)
Kayan Farlander in Y-wing with a new skill. Pops and Tiree with EPTs in their Ys.
John D, Rookie one, anyone else we forgot in x-wings.
Maybe some x-wing titles (free) that give one extra hull and barrel roll. There it's fixed.
Maybe price it as 25 bucks because we already have lots of these ships as it is. Better be some real good paint jobs on em. Lots of missions inspired by the events of episode 4.
Imperial Aces II (Imperial Pursuit or Heroes of Hoth)
2 Blue TIE fighters and maybe a retool of the bomber as he TIE Shuttle
More TIE Fighter Pilots, maybe with an emphasis on arc dodging.
Titles for the variant Fighters including /gt bomb and missile carrier, /rc recon, /fc fire control, and straight up /ln line fighter.
Rules that allow variant models like Bomber/TIE shuttle to use same cards (maybe even Boarding Craft rules)
Lots of missions inspired by events from episode 5.
Rebel Aces III (Renegades and Rogues)
HWK and two Zs? Maybe two different paint schemes for the Zs, which is what they should have done for the MW box.
More pilots for the ships in the box of course.
Commander Nera from Renegade Flight (extra x-wing pilot)
Rogue Leader unique title (gives pilots skill to another ship within 1-2 range, could be any pilot.
Missions, maybe even a mini campaign booklet where players can carry over their ships pilots between missions and have them gain experience and level up with free upgrades.
Imperial Aces III (Defenders of the Empire)
Maybe a gray/color Defender and variant TIE Advanced like the Avenger or V1 with title to give an advanced three attack and a system slot. Oh wait they did that already.
More Defender Pilots like Stele and Vader with different abilities than the previous ships. Inquisitor for the Advanced. Rules about using variant models with certain cards, hopefully to coincide with the use of the T-70 X-wings with the old cards and tokens (lets the Avenger model be used as an advanced, so Meerek Stele can finally fly the right ship). New tracking device missile (unique) that lets all friendly ships get TLs on the target ship for free, or use the tracking Device token as a TL that stays after being spent.
Missions/campaign as above
Scum aces (Wretched Hive)
Starviper in Virago colors, 2 scyks in differnt schemes
Boba Fett, Guri, Xixor, and others as crew upgrades.
Captured Bounty crew upgrade that causes enemies to attack that ship at one less (or two less) attack dice.
Mod (free, call it Super a Heavy) that allows Scyk to take a second heavy title with different upgrade slot, for free.
Cards for scum YT-1300 and YT-2400.
Campaign missions and rules like the other aces boxes.
I would be surprised if any of these ideas ever makes it into a box, but you never know.
Anyone else got any Aces expansion ideas? Or are we just gonna get the Huge ship with small base recolors from now on?
