If all of the capital ships from one side are destroyed the game is considered over. My question is how does this play to tournament/victory points.

for example my opponent has 2 af mk2 and 100 points of fighters, I am able to destroy his af mk2's on turn 5 but fail to kill any fighters. so according to tournament rules Does this equal 300 victory points (total defeat) or 200 points because his fighters are still alive.

The latest tournament rules says if you destroy all his ships you receive a full 300pts regardless of if he any squadrons left or even if his fleet total was less than 300.

This is a new addition in the latest version, I think previously you just used to get the points for the ships destroyed.
