My LGS has started taking preorders since apparently their distributor said the raider should drop around 06/30. Am I the only one who has heard this? I expected the forum to be rioting with joy!

I'm skeptical about a June release. So far, there have been more reports calling for August.

I'm in VA, USA. I wasn't expecting it this early either, but my LGS's distributor seems pretty sure, so who knows.

Wouldn't shock me, but this is the first I've heard of it from the lgs near me (they haven't even been taking preorders before now), so I'm hopefully for it being legit this time. That said I wouldn't be surprised if this was all hearsay.

Sorry, but every time there is a new Raider thread I hear ESPN's Chris Berman in my head saying, "Da Raaaaduuh!"

I'm all for June, personally. I'm actually in for more, an April release and a way for all of us to go back in time and enjoy it.

I really don't expect it before GenCon but it would be welcomed.

The Raider is a prime example why you should never pre-order anything until the last possible minute. I'll order it when it's in the "Shipping Now" stage.

Not even on the boat yet assuming the Upcoming page is accurate, so, still 8 weeks out I think.

My local gaming store has also been told by its distributor that the Raider would be available end of june. There is even a tournament that's going to be held with a Raider as a prize on that day.

My heart hopes that is is true, but my mind is confident that it is wishful thinking. Unless FFG drastically changed its method of updating the upcoming page then I can't see the Raider before 6 weeks "after" the status changes to "on the boat".

I disagree. If I had saved the money, I would've spent it on something else. This way, I get to use it on what I want without blowing it first.

I can imagine a number of reasons that a FLGS owner would think that a distributor had promised the Raider release would be around the end of June, many of which do not actually involve the Raider being released around the end of June.

I'm hoping for the Raider soon, the end of June would be nice. I would also like to point out that the Armada wave was not updated on the upcoming page until after several people had gotten shipping info on their preorders. Let's hope that is still the case with the upcoming page.

I think the raider release is like the JWs claiming a date for the end of the world. .... Many claimed dates have come and passed, no end times, no raider. ......
