So, I spend some time thinking about Ganks as PC-Race...Anybody got experience with this particular race?

I think playing one would be quite fun, formulate his obligation to be the best in his job, apply a constant need to tinker with his own body and improve it.

Only problem I see with it, there might be a strong lure for character building a frightening powerhouse combat character
