Now, I'm just wondering if it would be better to go with the K4 droid or recon spec.
Thoughts?

I personally like Intel Agent. If I remember to use him.
On the Firespray (and YT-2400), Recon Specialist is a great crew. Here though, because of the stress with Exp. Interface that will make you use green maneuvers anyway, I'd say go with the K4 Security Droid.
