What Acrylic Maneuver Templates Should I buy?

By Bwadswor, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Im looking into getting Acrylic templates, but wonder which one does the x-wing community recommend? My friend ordered a set from amazon and they see to be about 2-3 mm longer then the core game cardboard versions. Ill take my answer from the comments.

I have a set of Litko custom templates and they are great. Of the custom options, I think they are the best. If you aren't looking to customize, Litko and Applied Perspective are both solid options. Consider throwing Team Covenant some love too, as their templates are solid as well.

I just got a set from a company based in Australia called Aetherworks and they're good. Size-wise, they match my cardboard templates perfectly.

You've got lots of options, here's some of the places i've seen templates;

Cog 'O' Two

Team Covenant

Litko

Aetherworks

Applied Perspective

CorSec Engineering

The cardboard templates aren't necessarily perfect. Acrylics tend to be more accurate.

I like Applied Perspective for both price and appearance. You should also take a look at Greenman Designs, Team Covenant and Litko. They're all good quality.

I believe the only uniformly accurate dimensions are on the straights and range (40/80/120/160/200 | 100/200/300). The rest will all vary slightly, and even the cardboard varies.

The closest thing to a standard on measurements would be Mu0n's (who upkeeps Vassal)

But between manufacturers, it will be based on the cardboard they initially measured.

Thank You everyone for your responses.

I've got Applied Perspective because they had sweet translucent yellow. Definitely worth the upgrade to your X-Wing game!
