Q: Oversized Invaders and Blocking Obstacles

By player377182, in Doom

Can an oversized invader step over a blocking obstacle.

E.g. In the "Knee Deep In The Dead" scenario - The Invader player spawned an OSI (a Mancubus, I believe) in Area 2 - between the two blocking obstacles there.

Is he trapped? Can he step over or around them?

Thnx

Fatso is stuck, unless you got a "Crush" card handy.

Ahhh - good to know - As it was he did have a crush--- Thnx!

They should be able to move obstackles :D but I guess it was made to prevent using some minis in "special spots".

or you can use another card from expansion(I forgot the name) to transform him to Caco-demon and fly over the obstacle.

Misidentified, true. Though, if I'm spawning a Mancubus in the first place, usually means both Cacodemons (since we normally play with 2 Marines) are already on the board, which is rare.

Cacodemons can fly through blocking obstacles? I thought they're just not affected by the green stuff

That's how I read the Flying ability:

"Figures with the flying ability may move through enemy figures
and blocking obstacles without effect, although they must end
their movement in an empty space. In addition, flying figures can
move through damaging obstacles without suffering wounds, even if
they end their movement on the damaging obstacle."

That Cacos must finish in an empty space makes things harder, since they are 2x2 based and move what, 3 spaces?

Right, and 3 movement is JUST enough to get past a blocking obstacle from 1 side to the other.
