Hound' Tooth preview

By Filter, in X-Wing

Red stop, 180 arc and Outlaw Tech. I'mma just gonna sit at the table edge and bombard you with Heavy Lasers

The side arcs will almost certainly be considered an "auxiliary arc" and so you won't be able to fire cannons out of them, only the primary arc.

Bossk crew, gunner, and sit in the corner bumping. Bossk crew + gunner means never having to get rid of stress unless you want to do a red move.

Personally really interested in the tacticians or the PS 5 support guy gal. I think FFG was onto something with the previewed bossk + gunner + engineer, but I think I'd rather have the K4 for when I go full on stress-mode.

juggler! why havn't you run your numbers yet  ?

It looks like a direct improvement over the Shuttle's... everythingness, but for 7-8 more points. And without a Systems slot and in a different faction, I suppose.

But still...

And without the ability to chauffeur Vader around. Too bad, feels like a lost opportunity.

My laptop's SSD boot drive failed, so still working on the direct brain interface to calculate MathWing, with direct input from my visual cortex.

In all seriousness, I will try to have some numbers run for this Thursday's recording of NOVA. There is actually a lot in this news release to crunch numbers on. Scripts are backed up and I also have MATLAB on my desktop, so worst case if I don't get my laptop up and running again in the next day or so I can just use Ye Olde Desktop again.

How much do you want to bet that maneuvering fins turns that two turn white?

I think you're probably right.

I'll actually doubt this, as the fins say something about "increase" and have the number "1" in there. Possibly a Navigator effect, or something that lets them change a bank into a turn or something.

Firespray. Aggressor and YV-666 for 100 points. That's a lot of hull and shield to chew through, and 9 red coming from a lot of weird arcs.

I do wonder at the shuttle comparison though; it seems quite apt

The YV-666 can be outfitted as a ship that I don't give to craps about blocking with my own ships (especially not the tacticians or the bossk + gunner combos, which is basically just buzzsaw)

I just hope the 180 arc is as awesome as it seems

More greens, and faster turns will really help it out. I assure you, that 180 arc is going to be good. Especially if you are using multiples. So much easier to set up a crossfire than with the Firesprays.

You want greens buy an aggressor.

But when!?

Also, keep in mind that this is a true 180 degrees of arc. The Firespray actually only has 160 degrees or so.

But the Firespray's targets are considered to be "in arc" as long as any part of the enemy's base is touching either of their arcs. The Tooth only really has the one arc to worry about.

Good point. Probably a wash.

And for the record, 3x Trandoshan Slavers with double Tactician each will be a thing.

What kind of 'thing'?

Do it with two and Wingman on each. Lol

So maybe:
When you reveal your

? maybe ?

Greedo delivers a face-up damage card, not a crit.

he means for the ability. Greedo doesn't crit (he deals face-up damage), though I believe that's obvious from the text

It does work, however, in this weird roundabout way: attack + crit modification (Calc, merc, marks) + ability (use crit --> 2 damage) + Greedo (get crit benefit despite having given up the result for damage)

Oh man... I cannot wait to use that Bossk crew card with Scum Boba!

And yea, I also think the YV-666 will fly very much like the shuttle.

And doesn't the language in Latts' pilot ability imply that she can use it on her own shots? If that's the case, not only will she be a cool support ship, but Bossk + gunner + weapons engineer means she can pack a punch as well.

It's a *very* roundabout way of saying it.

Greedo does work they way they explain it... that if you can use Bossk's ability to knock down the shields, then use Greedo *after* the shields are down to force a face-up card, i.e.: a crit

yessss

Latts is the Eathn of scum (for only one more point :P!)

I'm excited for Latts Razzi because it's a pilot that supports other Scum pilots.

There's that.

Anyone else notice that this pilot bears a distinct similarly to the new Emperor card?

No range.

Isn't this basically a hard counter to C-3PO on Fat Han? I'm kind of a newbie, but it seems like it would heavily reduce Han's damage mitigation.
