Okay, so I did some tinkering and theory-crafting with the A-Wing/B-Wing/E-Wing combo, and here's what I've come up with:

Green Squadron Pilot (28)
A-Wing (19), A-Wing Test Pilot (0), Proton Rockets (3), Marksmanship (3), Push the Limit (3)

Blue Squadron Pilot (27)
B-Wing (22), Autoblaster (5)

Etahn A’baht (45)
E-Wing (32), R7-T1 (3), Advanced Proton Torpedoes (6), Push the Limit (3), Enhanced Scopes (1)

Here's the reasoning behind these choices:

A-Wing: Should be fairly obvious. Moves into position, then uses it's first action - Marksmanship - to convert all Focus die rolls to hits and one crit. This frees up the Focus - acquired via Push the Limit - to fre off the Proton Rockets, the Marksmanship there to help increase the odds of the Proton Rockets (at 5 Attack Dice, coming from the A-Wing) doing damage. At the very least, stripping the target's Focus/Evades (the guy I play against uses Howlrunner in every game, for example) and possibly doing some damage, opening up the way for the:

B-Wing: This is the tank of the group. He flies straight for the enemy's throat, trying to either get in Range 1 for 4 Attack Dice or - against high-agility targets (again, Howlrunner) - He'll use his Autoblaster. He'll also hopefully be a fire magnet due to his surprisingly good movement and the ability to threaten the heart of my friend's TIE Swarm.

E-Wing: While the A-Wing and B-Wing work together nicely while still being valid solo fighters, the E-Wing is the soul of the fleet - it's my favorite ship. it's pricey, but the sheer flexibility and raw firepower makes it a must-have in my eyes. Quality over Quantity, and all that jazz. The E-Wing focuses heavily on self-buffing via chaining it's abilities; Enhanced Scopes lets him move into position faster then even the cheap TIEs, allowing him to pull off R7-T1's ability if he so desires to acquire a target lock - and, if need be, perform a boost - before using Push The Limit to perform a Focus if he's in prime firing position. Using the Target Lock given by R7-T1, the E-Wing will unload the Advanced Proton Torpedos, all blank results turning to Focus results - allowing me to use my Focus to deliver a potential whopping 5 damage. The sheer speed and maneuverability will allow the E-Wing to alpha strike, then next turn jet away while the B-Wing and A-Wing perform a pincer move on the now-crippled target (or any other targets of opportunity). This will also make the ships hard to nail down due to the relative freedom and surprising maneuverability each ship has, letting them dance out of arcs and making them hard to nail down and concentrate fire on. It's a risky build, but if I can pull it off, I think it has the potential for a devastating first 1-3 rounds.

However, I may lose Enhanced Scopes, now that I think about it; the E-Wing's Pilot Skill of 5 means he'd move after many average ships, which means he'd be more likely to get RT-71's ability off as well as giving an edge by possibly stealing the Initiative.

Additionally, when the K-Wing comes out, I'm looking at this:

Etahn A’baht (50)
E-Wing (32), R7-T1 (3), Advanced Proton Torpedoes (6), Push the Limit (3), Fire-Control System (2), Shield Upgrade (4)

Warden Squadron Pilot (50)
K-Wing (23), Blaster Turret (4), Advanced Proton Torpedoes (6), Extra Munitions (2), Homing Missiles (5), Gunner (5), Seismic Charges (2), Seismic Charges (2), Munitions Failsafe (1)

Only two ships, but that just looks like pure, unadulterated fun to play. Why yes sir, I certainly would like to fling missiles and drop bombs all day, erry day. In addition, it also fits heavily with my New Republic theme - and the lower numbers matches the idea that these are owned privately by a Bothan clan, not a full-fledged "official" navy. And, additionally, I get to play this for at least four turns:
