Thanks all!
well done!
Very cool!
Also inspiring looking at your War Room! My available gaming space is going to triple at the end of the month, and I now have a wealth of Ideas. Love the Ikea display case conversions.
Did you build the two tables? If so, could you post any detailed pics you may have taken?
Lovely paint job on the snubs
Amazing work!
Hey all!
Glad you enjoyed!
Unfortunately I don't have much in the way of a tutorial! ![]()
Step 1: Spraypaint white
Step 2: Paint with red or blue, and black cockpits.
Step 3: Wash with Agrax Earthshade
Step 4: Highlight the white
And then, for the Y-Wings, pick out the astromechs.
That's it!
I have a bunch more to share... I finished up my TIE Bombers, Vader, Interceptors, and a few others... I'll post a few more pictures today or tomorrow... got some Romans vs Persians to share today, which is not really in this forums wheelhouse:)
I DID build the tables, but I'll be honest, they are probably a bit more complicated than you need for Armada or X-Wing... they are a foam underlay with a whole framing system to hold an overcloth tight... plus each has an end that comes off, so they can combine into one large 12x4 table for a game... plus they had to be rebuilt on the fly a bit, so they are not perfect... but I'll have photos up in the next few weeks:)
Thanks for looking!
Edited by Lord AshramOh, yes please!
I love the Idea of being able to combine the tables.
Over the winter I plan to build my own, I would love to know what features you are happiest with, also what you would have added/done differently.
Mine are going to pull duty for ground, sea, and space battlefields.
So far the plan is for layered inserts.
Bottom- plexiglass with the underside painted in shades of blue.
Middle- Foam insert blocks painted and flecked, with replacement sections to add rivers by exposing the lower level.
Top- Honestly I was going to add a single star-scaped sheat of foam, but after you mentioned the brackets to streach a sheet over the top, I may just have to go in that direction.
Love the paint jobs, keep the pics coming!
Great work. Your A-Wing schemes lokk EXACTLY like mine. I'll post my lot when I'm done in ~2 weeks.
