I attack an opponent, end up rolling 3 hits, 2 crits (2 black dice with hit-crit and 1 black dice with hit) to his front hull. I use ACMs as my crit effect and he is left with 1 shield on the front hull and no shields on the side hulls. He loses the shield and gets dealt 4 normal damage, so 4 facedown cards.
A few questions now:
1. When exactly can I spend the 1 die to flip a facedown card? I had waited for him to deal his 4 facedown cards... but he said I should've done this before he dealt the cards. I said why not just deal 3 cards instead... how can I spend 1 die to flip a facedown card that isn't there yet?
2. Can I spend 2 dice to flip two cards?
3. How exactly is a "random facedown damage card" determined? Again, this was why I waited for him to deal the damage cards, then I could chose either the first, second, or third damage card.
If this was meant to flip a facedown damage card that is ALREADY on the defending ship (damage dealt from a previous attack), then I guess I see the point.
