The entries for summoning, etc., say you summon the creature into your presence or you must be in the presence of the creature. What do you typically use as the guidelines for how far away that extends? Next to you, within line of sight, does your Summoner have to invest in some Magic Projection to be able to summon a creature some amount of distance away?

I assume that into your presence/in it's presence is comfortable speaking distance. 3-10 feet away (3 meters)

You don't invest magic projection because technically summoning isn't magic. It's your will and power to instill your desires upon the creature.
