My X-Wing (Partial) Storage Solution!

By KTreu42, in X-Wing

Hey all,

I finally reached the point where I needed something to keep all of my stuff organized and prevent the towering piles of upgrade cards from tumbling. Well, I made up my mind after some consultation and suggestions from others, and I am very happy with the results:

It's the Stanley 25-compartment organizer. It fits all pilot cards, upgrades, damage deck, plenty of action tokens, pilot tokens, asteroids, bombs, and maneuver templates. There's room for dice and pegs, but I left the dice in the black bag I got from the last tourney for now (seen in the third pic).

It doesn't have room for all my dials, but the Core set box holds all the dials/range ruler/rulebook, with plenty of room left over. Obviously the ships don't fit in the case, but there's enough room to fit a squad or two in the Core box to take to tourneys... and they look better on display than in a case anyway. Eventually I will want some longer-term storage for the ships, and I think foam trays sound like a good solution for when the time comes. Very happy with the purchase, the case itself only costs as much as one small ship off Amazon!

Very nice. Does anyone else have any other storage ideas? I could use em!

I bought some KR cases. A bit on the expensive side, but I'm extremely happy with them. They look lovely and they keep the models safe without them rattling around in a plastic container and chipping/wearing the paint off.

I just love how perfectly this thing keeps all the sleeved pilot and upgrade cards. Also, the large ship templates fit perfectly into the large bins and the small ones fit sideways really nicely. I held the whole thing sideways by the handle, and nothing slipped out of place!

I definitely think some sort of deeper container with foam or some such will be good to hold the ships and the dials, but for now this is just perfect. I think I will still be good after Wave 7 as well. Beyond that... we'll see!
