By darthpwnz2002, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

me and my friends played the beinggers adventure on the first weekend of our summer break and i think its awesome!!  but were do we go now? we finished the mission by threatning to destroy trexs ship with my grenades and we escapaded mos shuta but now we dont know what to 2 do......... is there more??

if not i told my group i will write the next chapter of the campagne but i want to see if there is more 2 do first because i heard there were lots of official adventures. are any free???? are they also easy to undestand? like what density and advantage stuff is??

There's a follow up adventure to the beginner box. have you checked that out yet?

As far as free games - the only ones are the three Beginner Followup games (Long Arm of the Hutt, Operation Shadowpoint and whatever the upcoming F&D followup game is called), and Under a Black Sun. Beyond that, it's only published canned adventures in books and the like.

And yes, there's quite a few canned games - 2 GM screens with adventures, 3 stand alone modules, three games in the betas, two games in the back of the Rules Books (with a third coming soon), and a bunch of individual nuggets in the Sector Sourcebooks.

(This is, of course, not counting the tons of canned games for the other two older systems - which are pretty easy to track down, but will require some work to overhaul to fit the FFG engine).

As for the question of what to do now, it's a big universe. Go anywhere, do anything - your GM should just run wild with whatever idea strikes his fancy. Although if I were you, I think my first step would be investing in the main Core Rule book. That gives you way more character options than the beginner game, and will explain some of the basics like destiny and advantage better.

thank u what is canned? is they like long arm of the hut??

thanks we are going to play it this weekend i am excited!! is density really needed for a game?? the chapter is very confusing but thanks i have discovered what advantege is for :P

"Canned" adventure refer to the self-contained, pre-written adventures such as Long Arm of the Hutt. It's an adventure in a can.

I assumed you are referring to the Destiny point mechanic. There are a number of talents that have been introduce that require you to flip a destiny point to use. Aside from that, when using the Force, you need to flip one in order to spend dark side force points to activate certain Force abilities. So in that light, they're necessary. I also encourage you to use them for the back-and-forth action vs tension it provides to the game. Give it a shot and see how you like it.

Canned, prepackaged as to sit on your shelf until you go "Man, I really need dinner, but I'm too lazed to make something", versus a free range grass fed vegan adventure whipped up by the GM. :)

Not sure players would enjoy free range and/or vegan for dinner.
