Ok, I've made my imperial list and I'm happy with it now for rebels, I own 1 of the core set and 1 of each expansion and I'm wondering what would be a strong list to go with, strong enough to deal with the vic/glad screed combo! I look forward to hearing people's thoughts and ideas for this
Rebel list ideas needed!
I'm looking forwards to trying out the Assault Frigate MkII B with flight controllers, expanded hangars and a few x-wings or a-wings along with three CR90B Corvette B's (sprinkle with Dodonna's pride / Overload Pulse / Ion Cannon Batteries where you like) with Mon Mothma leading them all, allowing them to dip into blue dice range safely and rip things apart. Something like this:
[ REBEL FLEET (292 points)
1 • Assault Frigate Mark II B - Mon Mothma - Flight Controllers - Expanded Hangar Bay - Enhanced Armament (123)
2 • CR90 Corellian Corvette B - Overload Pulse (47)
3 • CR90 Corellian Corvette B (39)
4 • CR90 Corellian Corvette B (39)
5 • A-wing Squadron (11)
6 • A-wing Squadron (11)
7 • A-wing Squadron (11)
8 • A-wing Squadron (11)

The key to this list is bringing all your firepower to bear on one target on one turn, ideally you'd want the overload pulse corvette firing first, then followed up by as many other shots you can get and a broadside from the Assault Frigate. The Flight Controller A-wings will put up a very significant fight against bombers and other fighter lists, they probably won't win agains significant fighter opposition but that's not their role anyway, they just want to tie up enemy squadrons for as long as possible.
With an 8 point bid you can take Fleet Ambush (Pounce on something faster), Opening Salvo (excellent for multiple ships), Dangerous Territory (Coralles the opponent a little while you can swing in freely).
He doesn't have 3 Corvettes...and no more than two A-wings...other than that it looks like a decent list ![]()
I was messing around, and figured I'd try to slap a fleet together with two Neb-B's and an Assault frigate, and this is what I managed to come up with. I have not played it, nor have I seen it played, but in my head you park your two Nebs at long range, shove the fighters and the AF down the throat of your opponent, and hopefully the choice between taking out the Nebs or focusing down the AF is bad either way, and that Bel Iblis can help keep your shields up and otherwise cover your options while you (ideally) take a concentrate fire almost every turn on your Nebs, and squadron on the AF. I haven't much experience playing with objectives yet, so I have no ideas on that front. If you give it a go, let me know how it works!

I ran this last night:
Assault Frigate B, Dodonna, Expanded Armament, Paragon, Electronic Countermeasures
Nebulon B Escort frigate, Yavaris, Tallon
Corvette B, Leia Organa, Overload Pulse, Dodonna's Pride
2 X wings
3 Y wings
It worked absolutely beautifully, and my only regret was not having a gunnery team on the Whale. There's actually enough points, barely, to drop Paragon and get a gunnery team if you like. I would do that and use "most wanted", or maybe go without it and select "Advanced Gunnery" as your assault objective.

I've been working on a very similar list.....will post it with comments soon. But it's a good start, and very flexible! It requires careful selection of objectives though.
EDIT: Posted it! Link here:
Edited by MaturinI can vouch for 2x Assault Frigates. Plus one Corvette with Leia.
Preferred commander; Dodonna.
This leaves you with about 100 points to play with.
Season to your taste and have fun.
@Maturin
Your fleet seems pretty sick, and seems like the kind of shenanigans I was wanting to fish for, ha. I always shy away from aces cause they cost so much, but maybe I should force myself to play more games with them so I get over that.
Another thing I wanted to experiment with, either on your list or mine, was massing some Y-wings, because even though they can't engage squadrons in a strict sense, I feel if you manage to park 4-6 of them next to one of your opponents cap ships, they have to deal with it anyways. I dunno if just two blues is enough to deal with good fighter support though, without having to waste a shoot on one of the capital ships just to deal with squadrons..
I played this and won against an Imperial Demolisher GSD/Tarkin Vic II/Imperial Aces(Vader, Fel, Howl, 1 Tie, and 2 Interceptors) list:
Assault Frigate A + Dodonna + Enhanced Armament + Paragon + Intel Officer + Electronic Countermeasures
Nebulon B Escort + Yarvis + Adar Tallon
2 A-Wing
2 B-wing
2 X-Wing
1 Luke Skywalker
Based on the results I would make these changes:
Change Luke to Wedge(my fighters got beat by Vader + Fel combo, but it did take them awhile to burn through all 5 fighters)
Drop Enhanced armament for X17 Turbolasers(I found the extra red die to be okay, but having the X17 mitigate redirects and the intel officer target brace wrecks the VSD's defenses), this will also give you a point lead for choosing first.
I basically put both ships on speed 1 and the Neb B just spammed Squadron commands and the Whale alternated between Concentrate Fire and Engineering(you can hold the Concentrare Fire until the second attack and get a 2nd black die at any range with Paragon's ability). Fighters pulled ahead to tie up the Imp Fighters and the B-wings stayed with the Yarvis to deter the GSD from making a run at it. Yarvis moved wthin mid range of the fighters to give them the double attack (my A-wings missed horribly on regular and Counter attacks), but the Imp Aces were still too tough. At the end the Paragon and Vic got stuck face to face, but I was parked on top of the space station, so I just kept healing ram damage. The GSD tried to flank the Paraon, but after some long range shots from the Neb B to soften its shields, a full barrage from the Paragon downed it. In the end the Vic and my Paragon each had 1 hull left and a suicide ram from the Paragon sealed the game with my Neb B adn 2 B-wings(they kept trying unsuccessfully to catch the GSD without getting intercepted by the Ties) left and a couple of Imp Ties with no way home left.
