I'm just now getting into the game and was eyeing a playmat. Does anyone else have a Dragon Shield Playmat? If so, do you like it and what color do you recommend? I was thinking blue (they have blue, green, and red I believe). Or perhaps there is another playmat someone would recommend?

I know you don't "need" one, but I like the idea of having something to put down when I play on tables that aren't very clean to protect the cards. Worth it?

I have no idea about "Dragon Shield" playmat but this post made me think how utterly cool it would be if FFG released Game of Thrones playmats. I would want a full dinner set to use as placemats

Some kind of 'Iron Throne' artwork playmat would be ridiculously awesome, for just about any cardgame ever in fact.

I totally agree! However, in the meantime those playmats are generic enough to still be cool. You can google to see what they look like. Suggestions on which color to go with?

FFG did make a game of thrones playmat. It was one of the prizes at gencon

I have the green Dragon Shield playmat, though to be honest I use it as a mouse-pad for my laptop. In fact, lots of folks at our store use the playmats as mousepads. I suppose for playing games they are pretty handy -- playmats sure do make it easier to pick up the cards from the table. But as a mouse pad, the widescreen ones that UDE makes for WoW (and formerly for YuGiOh) work better.

Ultra Pro has started doing playmats as well, and they have some sweet Ciruleo dragons that we can pretend are Drogon and Viserion.

And if FFG came out with THrones Artwork playmats, I would buy one IMMEDIATELY and carry a bunch in the store. I know I could sell those, and would make my own if I knew how.

I'm pretty sure they were gencon exclusive.

I just wanted to say I picked up a blue Dragon Shield playmat and really like it.

I just noticed that the first League Kit for Warhammer Invasion includes a nice looking playmat. Perhaps the next League Kit for AGoT will have one as well.

Then maybe there would be a prize I want.

Yeah the guy that I play with here locally actually won the AGoT Melee championship and got one of those playmats. He plopped it down after he won and I had to get a towel. The most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

Yup, if I recall we were told that it was a production sample or the like and to expect seeing some info about wider availability eventually.

Playmats. I have to say, that knowing we can win one in the Warhammer League is going to make me up my game and I'm the gun hosting the league! Those are prizes that people want to get.
