I find this craft very interresting, so I made up these experimental rules for it.

Lancet Aerial Artillery
Enforcer Pilot PS 2 pts 24
Oppressor Pilot PS 4 pts 26
Named Pilot 1 PS5 pts 30: When destroying a ship, regain 1 shield.
Named Pilot 2 PS7 pts32: May increase the range of the Beam Cannon with the 2 forward template then recieve 1 stress.

Attack:2

Agility: 2
Hull: 3
Shield: 6
Actions: Focus, Evade, Proton Beam Cannon.
Options: system upgrade, bomb, crew. Named Pilots 1 and 2 Elite Pilot Skill.
Card text: The Lancet Aerial is equipped with a powerful proton beam cannon, that can slice trough the toughest of enemy armors.
Proton Beam Cannon:
The proton beam cannon shoots with the 3 forward move template. The template is inserted into the forward movement pegs and any ship touched by the beam is hit. The beam deals 3 hits to each ship touched by the template. The defender still get to roll his defense dice.
The pilot can sacrifice 1 shield per attack, to boost the beam by using the 5 forward template instead of the 3. The cannon can draw extra power from the shield generators
Dial:
Forward: 1,2,3
Turn: 2,3
Bank: 1,2,3
Korriogran: 4

What do you think? To slow to ever catch anything with the beam? Also No I am not a game designer, so save your comments about that.

What does 3 attack mean? 3 straight up damage or do you initialize an attack when your template hits something and you roll 3 attack dice and they roll their evade dice? Is it the first ship in front of you that's hit or all? Does it hurt friendlies?

Also with those stats this is the tankiest small based ship in the game.

Yeah, you need to re-word that Proton Beam Cannon action to fit existing game language better/remove ambiguity.

Also, if you're shooting the beam cannon, you should also add a weapons disabled token to the ship.

Probably OP, too. Use the PS2 pilot and hit all the elite arc-dodgers while they haven't had a chance to turtle up during the activation phase. Even better, finally a ship that wants enhanced scopes!

I'd definitely drop the agility to 1 and/or remove the evade action from the bar.

The mechanic of using the forward template for the attack is interesting, and I like it.

PS 5 pilot's ability is the same as IG-88A, so I'd go with something else.

The picture on Wookieepedia is gross, but I really like the craft in the pictures you linked here.

Great comments! I have changed the wording of the Proton Beam, any better? Its interresting with the action phase attack, I did not even consider that, just that it should be a choice for the player if he wants to use it in the shooting phase. It could go either way, either it could be cool to have an Oicunn kind of effect and shoot in the action phase, but then the beam probably need adjusting down in power. Or you choose the action to shoot, put down a "beam icon" and in the shooting phase hope there is someone left in front of you? Probably one of those things thats comes down to playtesting, wich is most fun.

Regarding the tankiness of the Lancet, I think there should be some shields to burn on the beam.

I will try and think up another pilot skill to!

Since the canon this ship carries does similair damage compared to Turbo Lasers I would at the least make it more dangerous towards cap ships.
