Edited by GhostofmanI caught that this morning. Can you believe he had more than 200+ roles under his belt? What a dynamic actor. I feel for his family but he lived into his 90's, and was active, so that sounds like a good blessed run to me. Rest in peace.
Thanks for sharing Ghost. Awesome actor with a young spirit.
Rest in Peace.
Yeah, pretty impressive guy. I thought it was kinda interesting how in AotC he almost seemed mad that they needed a stunt double for the ending light saber duel. He was of the opinion he was still fast and skilled enough above the waist, it was just his legs that couldn't keep up.
One with the force now.
93... I hope I'll make it to that age!
Glad that he chose acting as a career...
You FOOLS! The Dark Prince is not dead. He is merely resting until nightfall, when the silk-clad virginal brides await him with opened balcony doors. . .

He was great in those old Hammer films of the 60's, wasn't he?. Bela Lugosi was a hard act to follow, but I think he succeeded in bringing new life (no pun intended) and depth to The Count. And he kept himself relevant and active for the next 50 years as well, becoming known to new generations who had probably never seen his earlier work in horror. And having major roles in both Lord of the Rings and Star Wars??? A true geek's actor, if there ever was one. I'm going to miss the old guy...
Oh, absolutely. He once said that “Every actor has to make terrible films from time to time, but the trick is never to be terrible in them.”
What the hell, Grim Reaper - do you have a backlog of childhood icons you have to get through today?
Filming a scene in Return of the King (seen only in the extended version), when Grima Wormtongue (Brad Dourif) stabs Saruman in the back on top of the tower, Christopher Lee corrected Peter Jackson on the fact that when a person is stabbed in the back of the chest, they do not scream (as the director wanted), in fact the air is pushed out of their lungs and they “groan” with an exhalation of air, very quietly, as their lungs have been punctured. From Peter Jackson’s DVD commentary: “When I was shooting the stabbing shot with Christopher, as a director would, I was explaining to him what he should do… And he says, ‘Peter, have you ever heard the sound a man makes when he’s stabbed in the back?’ And I said, 'Um, no.’ And he says 'Well, I have, and I know what to do.’”The crew said that they knew Christopher Lee had been in the British Royal Air Force Intelligence Service in World War Two, and they didn’t really push him for more information about how he knew in such detail exactly what noise a person makes when this is done to them.
He wouldn’t have told them anyway.
He was not only an amazing actor, but a great person in general, badass to the end and a legend in his own lifetime.
May he rest in peace.
Rest in Peace sir.
