The Empire will Fly Flags at Half Mast Today

By Imperial Advisor Arem Heshvaun, in X-Wing

A few obituries are confusing the SOE, SAS and LRDG. They all worked with each other but were very much different agencies and regiments.

They're all correct, for Christopher Lee can be found on all battlefields. For he is Death itself.

You know its a shame he never got to play 'death' in a discworld movie... he would have been perfect with that deep sonorous voice!

I think it would have been scarier if he kept on living. Dude was old.

That is quite true.

There is a date for each of us, sooner or later, on our graves. The date we come into this world and the date on which we depart.

There is no escaping that.

But it isn't the dates that matter. What matters most is that dash between the dates.

And Christopher Lee had a helluva dash.

I've always said:

All men die

Not all men really live.

and Christopher Lee , well he really lived didnt he?

Rebel X-Wing flight of four fly by, one breaks away in salute.

You know its a shame he never got to play 'death' in a discworld movie... he would have been perfect with that deep sonorous voice!

He voiced Death in a couple of animated adaptations in the UK back in the 90's. Soul Music and Wyrd Sisters if memory serves.

You may be right, long time since i've seen those animated ones.

He was also the big bad in the last unicorn.

Just remembered: years before his Star Wars work Lee was in an episode of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles

Farewell Lord Summerisle.

May you rest in peace.

He was bloody brilliant in that film.
