There's a good three waves left in the barrel. They haven't even exhausted the non-horrific TIEs yet.
call me crazy, but i dont want more new ships
That's right. Their release model is focused around ships--if they want to include a new card a ship has to come with it.
More aces packs then please!
I think given the success of Imperial Aces, Rebel Aces, Most Wanted and the two pseudo-aces in the huge ships we'll undoubtedly see more. Given FFG's release pattern the next announcement probably is a new ace pack.
The next announcement will probably be that we can use Nera to launch Proton Torpedoes in all directions and that it is going to be meta changing. NOBODY EXPECTS PROTON TORPEDOES! (if they did they wouldn't have put exhaust ports in the Death Star)
Joking aside, I'd love some Syck aces.

Fingers crossed for Rogue Squadron with an X Wing title to bring it back into the fold!
I'll be happy once they give us the remaining two/three (depending on whether we're consolidating TIE Advanced fighters) playable fighters from TIE Fighter.
Edited by VigilNaaa, I'll call it a day with wave VII. It would be nice to see a Mission Objective box with a campaign book and models for the senators shuttle, escape pod and asteroids/satellites coming out, though. And as a Scum-Epic-Ship maybe the "Broken Horn" - but so far I consider the system to be complete for me...!
Edited by John TenzerWe say that now but we don't know what they're doing next.
As for Aces, my bet's on an E-wing and X-wing one. That, or an E-wing and TIE defender one that indirectly benefits the X-wing too. The TIE defender and E-wing are the oldest non-large ships that haven't had a second release.
Edited by Blue FiveWill there be a Wave VIII, at all?
I honestly can imagine that they'll reboot the system with an X-Wing TMG Mk.II, by using the new trilogy ships exclusively for the rebooted version in order to make a clean cut between the systems and settings.
The timing would be right to exactly do that...!
I'm pretty sure when they first spoke about wave seven being done they also mentioned that wave eight was pretty much completed too
I'm the only only person that wants a T-wing.
The dial of an X-wing, the stats of an A-wing. Whaaaaaaat!?!?
I really want the T-Wing too!
Special Pink 5 X-Wing set, I'm calling it now. With coffee maker mod for double focus tokens when using focus action. (It's canon!)
Really, most ships that need 'help' (X, E generics, Defender) just need a slight tweak in action economy or post maneuver movement like barrel roll or boost. That's not that hard to do. A lot of causal games give X-wings a free hull, might as well be a free title that discounts a mod -3. The easy solutions just keep getting glossed over for overly complicated or redundant additions. FFG is pretty slow to act officially too (save for Phantom nerf and large barrel roll) and they already have 3 releases of X-wing. I dunno if we are ever gonna see a ' fix' for them at this point, shy of adding the T-70 to a 2.0 core set.

I dunno, I'd give it 2 attack, 3 agility, 3 hull, 1 (maybe 2) shield, two torpedo slots, 1 turns and 5 straight and a moderate amount of green. No 1 straight or banks. Otherwise a fairly normal dial. Barrel roll, no boost (focus and TL of course), no evade. The hardest part is making pilots for it! Sucks it's not gonna have an astromech tho.
They could release a core game expansion box. Give us some new missions, a repainted x wing and a repainted tie defender, and some new titles. Seriously, just like settlers of catan with their expansions. They have released several box expansions to add a different twist onto the core game. Maybe it's time for ffg to do the same. Give us missions that use an assault transport (cardboard) but release upgrade cards with this. Put in a new tie bomber and give us a mission about doing a bombing run in an asteroid field. But give some title cards with it. I think the 100 pt battles are fun, but we could use some more depth, and I really don't think we need more (ugly) small ships. Like someone said, it's supposed to be x wings vs tie fighters. But it's losing it star warsiness by going into obscure ships and such. ...
I want to see a lot of new ships, except giant epic ships....
But I would love to see a 2nd wave of Aces for each faction. An extra Bomber and a Defender with new pilots and cards would be awesome ![]()
I'd love for a campaign expansion that gave us a way to play linked battles, encouraged different point sizes and could include a range of new pilots or upgrades.

I've already been thinking along similar lines with the Raider. With that release most things are either: balanced, fairly close or situational and I'm good. I've had a standing order with my LGS for some time on Star Wars: X-Wing figures. This time however I've told them not to pre-order Wave VII for me. A real difference from getting multiples of everything. Just too much and the deck building complexity for a simple game it getting beyond the reach of a casual player.
Though... I'm all in on a book of stand alone missions that can be played in a campaign style, models for: senators shuttle, escape pods, asteroids and satellites, etc... The only reason I bought the Star Vipers was for the Interceptors and A-Wings, so that stung a little. S&V doesn't really bring any sunshine to our picnic. In our games you can add S&V ships to either side (Rebels or Imperial Navy). I have the models, may as well use them.
Edited by Ken at SunriseA Book of missions would be pretty tops in my wish list. I guess some epic ships could add a different dimension, particularly to mission play. A gozanti could make some fantastic missions, but as far as the core game is, I think we have enough. Look at the game of chess, there is only so many different units, but is still fantastic to play and has been enjoyed for many years. They don't need 3 dozen different choices. Just good solid mechanics.

Seriously, this needs to be the third Rebel large ship. Like, last year. How is this not a thing?
Yes, please.
I also look forward to people being confused by The Phantom.

Yeah. but how about that Assault Gunboat / Missile Boat two-pack? That's a good idea.

Eh-heh, don't provoke me....
Nope. Gunboat missile boat is a bad idea. If u want shields, get an x wing. If u want ridiculous ordinance and slam capabilities then house rules.
