so what nightmare do you guys think i might have a problem against?

I have done something very similar and while it's an excellent quest deck, it's rather severely lacking in consistent combat prowess. I would pair mono-Spirit with a straight combat deck for maximum efficiency.

Why not use ohuh Gandalf instead of core? That's what I would do. Then combat is much less of an issue.

FOUR Northern Trackers?

FOUR Northern Trackers?

To clarify in case OP doesn't know: you can't have more than 3 copies of one card in a single deck. I actually missed that one, Bullroarer.

I suspect it's a typo, as the fourth Northern Tracker would put the deck up to 51 cards instead of 50.

I'm surprised there is no Light of Valinor and surprised you went with core Gandalf instead of the hobbit Gandalf.

Are the Will of the Wests really necessary? There's not that much card draw, although Emery and Zigil mill through the deck I suppose. Damrod also seems a little out of place, but maybe you just want someone to spend all those resources on.

This feels like it should be a Caldara/Fortune and Fate deck with all these expensive allies going to the discard pile and all the resource generation.

i guess you have to actually play it to understand how incredibly broken this is. will of the west is needed as i go thru the whole deck in about 6-7 turns.

Are you using the faq rules for Zigil Miner?

no, maybe why it is broken....

actually i do, i just got the game so they are all with new text. ive only tried it with nightmare passage, journey and hunt for golum however. but it was super easy. the only problem with it will be if you face a shadow deck with a lot of direct damage especially in shadow cards. or a shadow deck that increases your threat substantially right before you begin the game.

It doesn't seem like this deck should have any trouble with the ones you mentioned. It is kind of strange to see 3x Silvan Refugee when you are playing Gandalf all the time though. But anyway, you might have trouble with decks that require heavy combat, battle/siege, toughness, and cards that punish chump blocking.

Are you using stand and Fight to keep playing Gandalf over and over from discard? Because that is an illegal play. Stand and Fight cannot be used on neutral allies.

can you give me an example of some of those scenarios? i just got about all of the nightare stuff and all of the regular stuff so i can test it or worst case do it on octgn altough i just love playing with the real cards. scout is pretty good altough he goes away but he helps a lot initially and works great with miner later on. many times you can go miner, scout, emery, and handmaiden or stargazer on t1.... or celduin traveler.

hmm, i have to try it like that, altough i generally have played him from my hand.

How do you play Gandalf all day if you don't have any way to get him out of the discard pile?

How do you play Gandalf all day if you don't have any way to get him out of the discard pile?

i draw him 9 times.... but you really need him like 4-5 times for most quests.

unless some shadow effect kills my miners or stargazers you basically just blow thru the whole deck in 5-6 turns. and you have complete control over the 2 cards you draw each turn and pretty much guaranteed to hit 2 resources with each miner + cache a few times. and with the tombs and the stand and fighrs you basically get to have your whole deck castable right away. and you can keep your threat at 5-10 if u want to but i basically just leave it at 15... t1 you can consistently have 6 questing/3 defense from allies with no heroes involved. so you also can cancel a treachery or do 3 damage with glorifindel. and that is t1, t2 you are easy at 10 questing + a lot of good defenders (2-3 def 2-3 health) and 5-6 attack. turn 3 you can do 20 questing if you want to but i like to split.... 10 questing and 10 attack.... and options to defend if i need to but since you are generally at 15 treat with an option to go lots lower you generally dont need to.

Just try out heirs of numenor scenarios.

I would recommand as many have done :

Light of valinor, bilbo, mirror of lady Gaga and switching core gandalf to hobbit gandalf with stuff (staff, horse and pipe)
