Will a hit from an Flechette Cannon with a Tactician, in Range 2 on a unstressed target result in 2 stress tokens for the defender? Or does the stress from tactician comes first and so the stress from the flechette is wasted?

The Cannon triggers on hits, Tactician triggers AFTER you perform an attack.

So 2 Stress.

The restriction for the cannon is checked after the attack resolves, Tactician resolves after the attack as well. If two effects resolve at the same time the player that triggered them many chose in which order they are applied.

So, yes you will deal two stress to the Defender if you chose to.

Flechette cannon triggers at the end of the compare results step of the combat sequence. Tactician triggers after the attack, i.e. after the deal damage step.

The ships that can use the combo are better with their basic armaments (i.e. Shuttle & B-Wing, Firespray) .

If Heavy Scyks could take crew upgrades though.
