There is one forum member that I know of who actually can field this list. And the pics to prove it are spectacular.

Where would I see pictures like that? ![]()
I tried searching for it. It was a thread that someone suggested to build your entire Empire and Rebel fleets at what max points would it turn out to be. One guy had 1900+ for Empire alone. That's PS 1 and 2 only... 12 points a TIE fighter... 1900!
I seem to recall his handle is Christopher and a number but that's all I can remember. But the pics he posted to prove it.

No photo .. never happened.
We NEED to see these photos for umm .. verification.
Turning out its a little harder than I thought.
- I've searched forum members with "Christopher" in their handle and didn't find him.
- I've done numerous thread searches for "fleet" "max points" and had no luck.
Maybe some veteran forum members remember who I am talking about and can help me locate that thread...
3 HWKs and 3 Advances! #noregrets
Sounds awesome!
Makes me wonder why there is no generic thread for everyone to post their collection or fleet. ![]()
I got the name wrong. My bad.
It was johnny3078.
have a look for yourselves...

Just buy whatever you need to make a good Chiraneau/Fel list then go around crushing tournaments and win store credit and buy stuff.
Probably don't need to buy bombers. Could probably also skip on the x-wing and a-wing expansions too these days.
2 core sets
1 X-Wing expansion
3 TIE Fighter expansion
2 of every other small ship expansion
1 of every large ship expansion (+1 more IG-88)
2 of each aces expansion
1 of each Huge ship
That would let you run any list you are seriously likely to run. You'd only need more ships than that if you wanted to run some sort of weird super casual list, or incredibly niche list that involves silly investment in a certain ship.
Wow. Less than a day and I got a ton of responses. The above is close to what I was looking for. My first goal is to be able to field pretty much any 100 point list. I wanted the number of expansions I would need to obtain all the upgrade cards and ships to accomplish this. Based on the responses I realize there are some extreme example where I might need 7-8 of an expansion just to get the upgrade cards. It sounds like 2-3 of the small ship expansions, 2 of the large ship expansions and 1 of the huge ship expansions would be what I need. My next goal would be to build the collection for the epic format.
I have purchased a collection which is a good starting point. It sounds like it is missing Wave 6, but I should be able to fill in the gaps based on the suggestions in this thread.
Thanks for all the help everyone.
I have around $2000 invested. I consider it an Ultimate collection.
As others said get 100 points of everything. Find the cheapest pilot cost of a ship then see how many will fit into 100 point squad. 3-4 ships for most small bases, 8 z-95 for both scum and rebel and 8 ties.
Epic one ship of each really is all that is needed.
As example for next wave I will be getting 5 punishers, 3-4 of the K wings, 4 of the new scum fighter and 2 bounty hunter ships.
When your playing casual you don't need the cards you can proxy them, it's only at official events you need the cards so take your time.
Yep, that guy sure does have a full Star Destroyer's load of ships.

Hello all.
New to the game. Looking for some help. I tend to go full bore when I get into something, so, with that in mind I am looking for what I would need to purchase in order to have everything I need to pretty much build any squadron. I would appreciate any help in how many of the core set and each expansion I would need to purchase. I have started by purchasing a decent size collection, but need some help in determining how many additional quantities I need for each expansion from each wave.
Essentially, what would be needed to have the "Ultimate Collection"? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
ITS A TRAP!
Imagine this game is a bag of potato chips. But in this bag, each chip costs $15-$100. But you can't just eat one. In fact, even though you put a hand-full into a small bowl thinking, "That should fill me up," you still feel a little 'munchie.' So you pour another bowl. Next thing you know the bag is empty. But its okay because there is a buy one get one sale on chips at the local grocery store so you can get a bag of each flavor. And oh look, they just came out with a new spicy variety. Gotta try at least one bag of those too...

I would favor 12 TIE Bombers, 12 TIE Interceptors, 12 TIE Defenders (or Avengers/Advanceds (oh, God, my brain hurts from writing that, "Advanceds,")), 36 TIE Fighters, 6 Decimators, 2 shuttles or Sentintels (if we ever get them), and two or three Raiders. (A complement of ships for a Star Destroyer acting as a FOB for Imperial SOF.)
For the rebels, I would go with three CR-90s, 12 Y-Wings, 12 A-Wings, 24 X-Wings, a YT-2400, a YT-1300 or two, and 4-6 GR-75s. (Rebel strike team with logistical support in tow.)
S&V: Grab a basket at your LGS, throw in a Firespray or two, 0-2 Aggressors, a YV-666, 6 StarVipers and random handfuls of Most Wanted, Y-Wings, Z-95s, Scyks, HWK-290s, and Kihraxz until the basket is full or you run out of money. If you end up with a nice, round number of anything, you'll know you're doing it wrong: So (for example) 14 Z-95s (maybe 12 of the Black Sun Z-95s, split into two 6 craft formations hanging out with the StarVipers), 8 Y-Wings, 23 Scyks, 3 HWKs, and 11 Kihraxz. And a bunch of paint and brushes so you can make small touch-ups to each (non-Black Suns) model to make them unique.

Well sure, I'd also prefer more of the fancy ships. But if you're going for authenticity, that's not the standard compliment for an Imperial Star Destroyer. Although it would be nice to get Sentinel Landing Craft and Delta Stormtrooper Transports eventually.

I don't know what those acronyms mean.

Reminds me of this:
two core sets and then base everything off what it would take to build at least a 100 point squad per ship type. and if its an odd number round up one.also.two Tantives and two transports. Two tantives because it can easily be made into an imperial CR-90.. also one or two raiders when ever they get out!! lol
