What can you do with 6 corvettes? GO!!!

Title says it all.

If you had 6 corvettes, what is the best list you could write while trying to include as many as possible. The max amount of corvettes you can fit into a list is 7 bare-bones Bs with Dodonna leaving 7 pts to play with. Using six there is just enough points room for things like initiative bids, ship upgrades, or even a fighter or two. So what do you think is the most effective way to put them together??

Mon mothma, and 1 flanker with overload pulse. Any remaining points I would put into either a second overload pulse or upgrading to A's

what can I do with 6 corvettes? Run 6 corvettes, I guess.

the idea of a OLP B is very appealing since it sets up the rest of the fleet for devastating barrages. It'd probably be best to slap Raymus onto it too, since you have to crit fish for the OLP to even trigger.

As i stated in dramas last post, if i had them i would go

[ Grandma's Corvette Cocktail (299 points)
1 • CR90a Corellian Corvette - Mon Mothma (74)
2 • CR90a Corellian Corvette - XX-9 Turbolasers (49)
3 • CR90 Corellian Corvette B - Ion Cannon Batteries (44)
4 • CR90 Corellian Corvette B - Ion Cannon Batteries (44)
5 • CR90 Corellian Corvette B - Ion Cannon Batteries (44)
6 • CR90 Corellian Corvette B - Ion Cannon Batteries (44)

Another possibility would perhaps be to drop the old lady for Dodonna and go full ham on offense with one more CR90a. With 3 ion cannon batteries you should be able to at least get rid of 2 def tokens on the target and sneak in a few shield damage. After that your longer ranged Corvettes fish for double crits that Dodonna makes a real nightmare to deal with...

[ Dodonna's Critvette Circus (299 points)
1 • CR90a Corellian Corvette - General Dodonna - XX-9 Turbolasers (69)
2 • CR90a Corellian Corvette - XX-9 Turbolasers (49)
3 • CR90a Corellian Corvette - XX-9 Turbolasers (49)
4 • CR90 Corellian Corvette B - Ion Cannon Batteries (44)
5 • CR90 Corellian Corvette B - Ion Cannon Batteries (44)
6 • CR90 Corellian Corvette B - Ion Cannon Batteries (44)

What objectives would you play with those 2 fleets?

What objectives would you play with those 2 fleets?

Assault: I would probably go with Most Wanted, though opening salvo could be a lot of fun as with 6 ships you'd be adding a significant amount of dice to your opening attacks, especially if you are second player and are adding blacks to fish out those crits. The downside to opening salvo would be that since you have so many ships they would only have to damage each to get significant point bonuses.

Navigation: I would go with superior positions. I know that the fast maneuverable nature of the ships might make you think dangerous territory or intel sweep are good ideas but in order to focus on gaining the objectives youll be forced to split up and that would take away the main threat of this fleet. Superior positions takes advantage of their ability to maneuver behind but also rewards you for attacking which is what the fleet is geared towards.

Defense: for this one I think fleet ambush would probably be your best bet. These scenarios seem less appealing for this list in general.

Wouldn't "Most Wanted" do well for this list? You get six to twelve extra dice against their objective ship, whilst they only get a couple against yours.

i wonder how this list would fare against a list with say 4-6 bombers?

Put engine techs on each one (I believe they can get engine techs....dont have the cards in front so not completely 100% sure) and go for ramming!

Would such a list actually be playable versus more usual lists?

6 x CR90B

1 x Mon Montha

1 x Luke Skywalker

284 points and away you go.

I don't like the Corvette swarm (theme-wise) but it's an incredible effective build. Imperials show up with only 2 or 3 ships, so gun 2 down and shoot + ram the last one. If he keeps his stuff close together such a game can end in turn 4. Or simply ****** the objective and run away, for max annoyance. Only GSD can keep up, and the one stupid enough to chase you will die horribly in the swarms barrage.
