Star Destroyer is pick

Victory class is my pick

TIE Interceptor/Baron Fel

Oh wait, that's not a ship...

It must be the Gladiator. Fun to see a new ship with a well-defined role.

Gladiator, the hammer to your Victory's anvil.

Gladiator hands down with Space Whale in second.

running darth around in his tie.... ...making swirling, twirling, and whirling sounds!.... wunderbar!!

Gladiator, hands down

In particular, the Demolisher Gladiator, which is... honestly, in games, it feels better than its points. So far, even when we trade ships, the side with the Demolisher tends to win a disproportionate amount of games.

the new and improved Nebulon is such a radical improvement over the core set

Salvation and Yavaris are game changers in such wonderful ways :) (they make the Neb scary)

I like Whales too, very much. They're flighty little **** that change the dynamic of the game significantly compared to the other two rebel ships, which have their primary armament located on their front rather than side. Paragon and Gallant Haven are also wonderful titles that really change the gameplay styles of the ships they're attached to, stressing dual-arc setups on the former and the image of a roving fortress of doom for the later

For looks; Victory. (not even a contest)

For playability/allround usability; Space Whale.

Gladiator.

however... I dislike the fact that it has such a powerful combo in demolished/engine techs/missile upgrade.

It has almost become mandatory to have in a flotilla that includes GSDs

There is basically no bad ship in W1

Would like more and more diverse ship titles though

I'm not sure I agree... the non-Salvation Nebulon B's have fared exceptionally poorly on the table both for and against me so far.

Edit: To explain, it's the combination of very weak sides (especially with the Gladiator around now) and the lack of options (you can't expose your side, so you end up being very predictable and straight line, which makes it easy to plan to fight against them).

don't worry, when I finally get Lets talk tactics ep 6 out (nebulon-b) I will prove their usefulness

yeahI I've had incredibly positive experiences with them

the weakness of their sides is present, but heavily exaggerated on the forums. They don't go pop unless you really put them in a bad place.

the "problem" with the Nebs is their flexibility. They're truly jack of all trades ships and resist specialization without the Salvation or Yavaris titles, and this understandably makes them confusing at first. Suffice it to say, Salvation and Yavaris have incredibly easy to understand strengths (and both are hilariously devastating) whereas the base escort statline offers a mix of them (solid front arc, good all around cmd/sqd/repair, two braces, 2 anti-squadron dice).

They've been most effective for me when run with ample (not max, but ample) squadrons, especially B-wings. Considering the amount of long range damage they pump out (plus imperials propensity for getting close) having B-wings cover for them greatly increases their value. It also helps that the Nebs cover the B-wings (3 health ties no likey 2-dice anti-squadron from those wide sides), though it also helps to have four A-wings along :).

Nebs seem to be the closest things rebs have to VSDs (no the fattie is not, its powerful sides and decent speed makes it play completely differently) in that they can drive straight up and through enemies. The only difference is that the power normally associated to the slow VSD's front arc is split between the Nebs and the slow B-wings. The Nebs seem to work best in formation, and I've always regretted not starting them relatively close together like a line of redcoats. They are far more frightening than the sum of their parts.

I love the glass cannon Nebulon B with the Salvation title..... has does done tones of damage for my rebel fleet

Mr. Dice, how many Nebs are you flying in that tight formation? Just two?

I thought the Victory would be my favorite, but like others, I've taken to the Gladiator. There's just something pretty awesome and Blitzkrieggy about swift hard-hitting Gladiators (Screed, Engine Techs, ACMs, Demolisher).

Also, while it can wreak holy hell on anything they decide to bear down on, you also have the opportunity to go for a low-point victory if your opponent wants to hang back and let their squadrons do the fighting. (Provided you have the Gladiator II, those two blue dice can really hit hard, and you can keep squadrons from remaining in range of you with careful maneuvering.

Nebulons....because I love a challenge. :) And their looks - just crazily beautiful! *swoon*

The redcoats might be too stiff an image, but you want them close enough to combine fire on a target and cover their squadrons

Currently, I've got a raymus salvation (support), yavaris (otherwise naked possibly a vet cap), and the flagship: tenacious d (guess the commander). There's room enough for 4 As and 3 Bs. Plus a hefty bid or x17.

At 400 we add another escort and more squadrons

NebB is still my favorite in Armada.

Gladiator.

Corvette CR90B right now, subject to change.

Nebulon B. I like the fact that it requires so much thought on what role I want it to play in my fleet.
