Accuracy vs multiple identical Defence Tokens

By General Zodd, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Okay, been playing for a couple of weeks now, still yet to win a game, but that would have to be a whole separate topic... My question is about me and my mate's interpretation of how Accuracy results work.

We *think* that spending an accuracy icon allows you to stop a *specific* token being used, rather than any token of the chosen type.

In other words, if you're attacking a ship, like the Victory, which has two of the same Defence Token (Redirect in this case), do you need two Accuracy results to stop your opponent spending either of them? Or does one Accuracy icon stop them spending *any* Redirects he has available?

Apologies if this is well known topic, had a look and couldn't find a relevant thread!

Cheers all, and MTFBWY.

Yup, one accuracy stops one token, not one type of token.

Yep, as what DWRR said.

Also note that if you manage to get two shots on the same ship (obviously from different arcs of your own ship).... say on your first shot, you had 2 hits and one accuracy result. You decided he can't use his Brace token. Fine. Deal with the attack as you normally would. On the second shot, you rolled 2 hits and 1 crit. He can now use the Brace token as accuracy only prohibits the defense token from being used on THAT attack (first attack in this case). So on the second attack, he can use his Brace.

Makes sense?

Fantastic, thanks for the responses guys! I'll just have to keep shooting those VSDs with more guns...

Intys Rule, yes, happy with the tokens only affecting one attack, rather than all attacks from a given ship. From the forum posts, that seems to be cause for a lot of confusion for a topic that I thought was quite clear in the rulebook. But then probably others think the same about my above question!

Thanks again
