I don't think those are painted. In fact, I'm pretty sure these are the pics we saw earlier in the year when they first announced the wave, and had a couple unpainted ones to show scale.

Theses were the original reveal shots for an expo shortly before Armada launched in the wake of the dockworkers strike and the inevitable delay of wave 1. FFG had to show "something" to try and keep people excited in the game so they showed off the draft, unpainted, prototypes for the Wave 2 ships.

Painted versions have now been revealed since then - these were only the originals that probably wouldnt have been shown to the public if the launch had gone as planned. (i.e. Core and Wave 1 together in February).

Uh, wait a minute. The size of the MC30c Frigate is supposed to be slightly less than half the length of the even the smallest MC80 Star Cruiser (which is 1,200 meters long). Why does it look nearly as long as the MC80 then?

So isn't Home One supposed to be longer than the ISD?

Are those bases the same size as the AF2 and VSD, or are they getting bigger bases?

Bigger, they are the large size bases.

Why wasn´t the ISD chosen as the starter kit ship? The game has yet to take off where I live (I´m still on the fence myself). I imagine a lot less people could resist with that amazing looking, iconic monster included as a launch piece.
