Home one size...

By akenatum, in Star Wars: Armada

Hey guys, so question for the masses based off the movie scaling home one looks about 3km, and the liberty types being about 1500m, I could swear I remember seeing something confirming this as a kid, but most stuff I see now site 1200-1500m has anyone else encountered this at all.

I feel like I kind of want to source an independent model to use on my home one base that's about 1.25-1.5x the ISD's length, just so it appeals to that childhood scence of scale but fitting into the armada sliding scale without being too large on the table.

Anyone else out there have that urge, for any of the ships?

Concidering that each ship was unique, they could be anything.

Home one.. the biggest, was 1.3km But was a lot narrower then an ISD

the smallest I think is the new one coming out in wave 2. That could be under 400m

Hey we now it's not possible because the executor is WAY to big that even with the slideing scale it won't fit into, the ,game.... What why is everyone staring at me?

Home one was 3km iirc, I think they extrapolated the hangar size to come to that 3km estimate. But most MC-80's were around the 1.2km size. Personally I do find armada's Home One model too small.

Star Wars technical commentaries. Fun read, breaks out SCIENCE for Star Wars... Still in my opinion SW is space fantasy and thus magic/plot overrides physics/biology/etc.

So yes according to the model design it should be 3 km ish... But, how much that will bother you that FFG is keeping things simple / sacrificing for balance is up to you.

I personally don't care that much. Enjoy!

I never saw Home One as 3KM... the simple 1.5km(ish)seemed about right to me.

The model looks spot on.

I always think you can get too caught up in comparing models on the screen that often vary massively in size/perspective and were put there because it looks good rather than being accurate.

If the Liberty model is the same size as the Home One model that is enough to tell me they are the same size.

Despite filming, it seems that it was within the same size as the other cal cruisers. I don't know where it started to get bigger and bigger, but a lot of my older stuff shows it as 1300-1500 meters.

I hope shapeways will have a longer "Home One" model, because it looks pathetic next to the star destroyer!

Needs more girth!

Extra Length!

Were still talking about spaceships, right?

Well at least on the plus side, it seems like people wouldn't have an issue playing against an up-scaled home one, probs just need to bring the normal as well for when people do have an issue

It looks a little small to me as well....being the rebel command ship....I'm no expert but I thought it would be as large as a SD...still I'm not gonna complain overmuch.
