I faced 8 Z-95's at regionals in Boston with dual aggressors. They put up a fight but I just out-murdered them, down to the last.

gotta say that adding a new PS pilot isn't going to make pure Z-95s any more viable than they already are

Z-95s are simply nowhere near as maneuverable as Ties, both in dial and in lack of barrel-roll. while a rebel scum/howl-runner would certainly help their dice, they would remain one of the stiffer and more easily outmanuevered ships in the game right alongside the X-wing and just above the Y

You really need to plan ahead if you're running nothing but Zs, which is why they're more popularly purposed as mini-swarm ships where their great jousting value kicks in to support a more maneuverable partner

So maybe off topic but IF there ever is a second edition how do you think ffg would implement it? Would you still be able to use existing models or would you need to buy all new expansions with the new models? If that was the case I would be quite upset. I would hope they just come out with a core set with new cards and or you can send in your old cards for new updated ones. What do you guys think?

Well for second edition if I were to add anything like new dice or damage cards I would also make an update kit for all 1st edition core sets to update 1 core set to all the components of the 2nd edition minus the models and what the core set already has. If pilot cards say like Luke was to be reprinted then I would include those as well. However I wouldn't go phasing out the pilot cards of other expansions just yet. Many players already have enough models to play 100 point standard. Unless the standard point limit was increased (which could very much probably happen) most players already have enough models to will out 100 points worth of the ship. One problem with raising the point cap is the cost barrier to admittance into standard is increased.

I don't agree with the idea that A-Wings are overcosted. A refit Prototype is 15 pts. That's 3 above an Academy Pilot. Replace 1 of the TIE's hull with the A's shield (based on shield upgrade cost: shield over hull is 1 pt. difference; 15-1 = 14). Then add the second shield (14-4=10). Then add the better maneuver dial. You're looking at a far superior ship if we use the generic 2-attack, 3-agility TIE as a reference point. Even without the refit, the A-Wing is still not overcosted. But yes, I agree that Z-95s are too cheap and good to have even cheaper EPT pilots.

If, f'rinstance, the Prototype was efficiently costed at 17 points, then being able to get it at 15 points would make it one of the best ships in the game and we'd be seeing them bloody everywhere. Knightmare Chess adds a whole new element of unpredictability to the static game of standard Chess by giving players cards that they can play before, after, or sometimes instead of their turns. It really wasn't that engaging of a game. Trust me on this I have tried it.

Didn't much liked it. It looked cool but mechanics and other systems that were put in place were not that intuitive. IMHO it felt like it played really clunky compared to the classic chess.
