Concentrate Fire & Dominator Vs Squadrons

By Omniscient Raph, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

I'm new to this game so forgive me if this is really obvious:

I recently watched a tutorial where a player used one of the attacks from his Victory Class II to make a squadron attack (3 squadrons in his front arc). In the example he gave, first he collected one blue die for his anti-squadron battery then proceeded to use concentrate fire command dial to add one more blue die. After this his used the ships Dominator ability to spend two shields to add two more blue die, selected his first target, rolled the dice and resolved the damage.

All straight forward so far.

However he then went onto to use the same four blue dice in his attack against the second and third squadrons.

Is he correct in doing so? the way I read the rules, after the first attack resolves he then picks a second valid squadron and proceeds with the attack from step 2 of the attack resolution. But would this not reset the dice pool giving him only one blue die for his remaining attacks?

Thanks for your thoughts

No he was not correct. In the attack resolution adding dice (Dominator, or a dial) takes place in the modifying dice step. This is then restarted for the attack on the next squadron.

He would only receive 1 dice on subsequent attacks.

He could use dominator again on the second and third attack but would have to pay the shields again each time.

Yeah thought that move was a bit OTT.

Thanks guys
