And if we do know that it can, does anything stop Daredevil from dropping a bomb too?
The wording on proton bomb suggests neither will drop it, but it seems weak for the new bomber to not be able to use its new action for bombing.

SLAM does not involve revealing a dial, so it doesn't allow bombs. Advanced SLAM does allow use of bombs that require an action to deploy, such as Proximity Mines.

Yeah that's what I'm figuring too, it just feels like have a great opportunity to change how bombs drop slightly for some interesting game play.
SLAM seems pointless if you can't drop the bomb half way through.
Bomb dropping isn't the point of SLAM. It's a superboost.
I think the one that's meant to adjust bombs is the Punisher with Adv Sensors, Bombardier and Boost.

Its biggest value seems like it'll be from the action-dependent bombs. Otherwise, it'll be a good way to get your ships out of arc, or to put them in a position where they can drop a bomb next turn.

it's an extra maneuver with amazing utility regardless of bombs
the two most obvious uses to me are
1.) arc-dodging
2.) slamming (S.L.A.M.ing?) yourself into b2b with an opposing ship, i.e "arc-dodging" which even works on PWTs
(which I believe works since it's an additional maneuver, similar to daredevil, and not a boost/roll)
in addition to acting like a SUPER BOOST to set you up next turn. True you won't be able to use the crappy 2-dice turret, but it's refreshing to see a PWT that, like the yt-2400, actually has to make decisions ![]()
I am, however, exceptionally saddened by the lack of ept slots
could you imagine the breath of life S.L.A.M would have given to intimidation? Oh what could have been...
We just need to get the SLAM action onto a Scum Y-Wing with the "Genius" Salvaged Astromech ![]()
We can currently use Kavil with Daredevil, Genius, Bomb Loadout and Proton Bombs or Seismic Charges to drop a bomb/charge after performing the Daredevil maneuver!

Awesome to know!
Kavil + Daredevil + Autoblaster + Engine + Genius + Seismic/proton
35-38 pts, and I am very impressed. Daredevil (even better with unhinged) will be fun on Kavil, and I'm sad I didn't think of it!

Punisher's don't have a crew slot for Bombardier.
Although, you could add Experimental Interface and you can boost and then drop a prox or cluster.

Throw in an extra munitions and you're cooking with gas! Though Kavil would for sure be missing his friend unhinged.
It's a maneuver. So if it's green do you shed stress? If it's red do you gain stress?
What a minute.. Slam says the following:
To SLAM: Choose and execute a maneuver on your ships dial. The chosen maneuver must be the same speed as the maneuver this ship executed this turn. Then assign that ship a disabled weapons token.
A ship with a disabled weapons token cannot perform attacks. Disabled Weapons tokens are removed during the end phase along with the evade and focus tokens.
Performing a SLAM counts as Executing a maneuver.
A ship cannot peform a SLAM as a free action
Bombs:
Bomb Upgrade cards allow a ship to drop bomb tokens. The rules for bomb tokens are described below. Bomb Upgrade cards are not secondary weapons. Dropping a Bomb Token Each bomb Upgrade card allows the ship to drop a specific type of bomb token. To drop a bomb token, follow these steps:
1. Take the [ 1] maneuver template and slide it between the rear guides of your ship.
2. Place the bomb token indicated on the Upgrade card into the play area and slide the guides of the token into the opposite end of the template.
If a bomb token is dropped on a ship, it is placed under the ship’s base. The bomb does not immediately detonate and must follow these rules and restrictions. Some bombs, such as Proximity Mines, do immediately detonate if placed under a ship’s base.
A ship may only drop one bomb per round.
All of the bombs say when you reveal your maneuver. So I guess you are right, but remember they may change the wording on the SLAM Action. Because I believe they are expecting you to SLAM and drop a bomb or a prox mine with advanced slam
This is a good catch though
Edited by eagletsi111Or just do a 4 k-turn with the Y-Wing and Genius. Less expensive, I think ![]()
